In the words of the song by Carly Simon 'You're so vain, I bet you think this song is about you...' My Thread here is - Are you vain? Then this Forum Post is about you and myself at times. Do you make sure you look just picture perfect, before you even venture out for the day? Stopping several times in front of the mirror to make sure the hair is in place, the stubble on your face is shaped right, the shirt and trouser match and are neat, shoes clean and shiny, etc.? Then when you get in your motor vehicle, it's another quick look in the rear-view mirror. When you reach work, a stop in the Restroom to check yourself in the mirror again. Of course, several times a day you visit the Restroom to make sure everythings just picture perfect. Then, of course 'You're so vain!'

I'm pretty vain, but I'm not high maintenance. There is a difference.

It takes me 15 minutes to get ready each day, and I don't need designer clothes or anything to feel/look good.

On that note, I realize I am a pretty good looking guy. My haters like to bring up the fact that I'm a short Mexican, but I can guarantee you I pull in hotter guys than 95% of people in this site. Latin bottoms are in. And good looking "straight acting" Latin bottoms are always in style. icon_cool.gif

I work out regularly, have a tight lean body, look 10 years younger than I am, and dress well. So yeah, I pull a lot of good quality D.

No Im not vain at all, I do try to look good but with common sense, to pick clothes that match and make sure I smell good ha, but thats it, and that only takes a quick look in the mirror before going out. I guess the time I spend more time on "me" is when shaving, I dont even use conditioner because I like how my hair looks with shampoo only.

Nope. Evidently it all just comes naturally. I don't obsess over my skin. Soap and water is all I've ever used. Grew up in the days of tanning and before sunscreen yet my face is not as wrinkled as other men my age. My hair just requires a quick brush through when I get out the shower and it dries perfectly on its own. My clothes always match even if I'm just going for a bike ride. It's not that I obsess it's just that coordinating an outfit before leaving the house was something that was taught to me from very young. It's second nature now. I very rarely check my look in a mirror throughout the day.

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidI check the mirror to make sure I don't have a "protein" mustache from my protein drink. There have been times when I didn't take a quick look and I went walking around looking like this:

I use skincare, and it makes a world of difference. I feel like the guys who brag about being low maintenance are both vain and delusional.
