Im definitely in the obstacle racing phase now. Did two spartan races, survived the zombie run, and I have one more mud run in the bronx this weekend before I do my first tough mudder in November.

Anyone ever do the trifecta? What area has the most challenging super and beast race? Im still convinced that tuxedo ny has the toughest sprint but im open to other options.

You should try it. You work out and have a great body. Why not put it to the test to see what you're capable of?

I did 13 races one summer including the trifecta. Did all three in Canada and all in all they were pretty damn hard.

That's pretty awesome. I don't think i'll be able to do that within the year but I will at least do the trifecta.

I have done one Tough Mudder. I enjoyed it overall but I'm not a runner so I completely seized up later in the day and my joints were agony for the next day too!

I will do another one...I was going to do one this September just gone but by the time I got around to signing up for it, the price had gone up massively and I thought it was too expensive. The key is to book early!!

Hahas oh man I can feel your pain. I'm not necessarily a seasonal runner but I try to get in 8 miles at least twice a week, sometimes three. Even so, my body was sore after doing the sprint in NY. That's what happens when you run on a ski resort during the summer.

The price are insane at times, but it's generally spartan and tough mudder that are like that. Lesser known races cost about $60 nearly 3 weeks before the race. but I generally sign up months in advance for spartan

Thought about it back in the early days. But been hearing too many sketchy things about it over the years. People getting burned, electricuted, breaking bones, getting e coli infections. Pass.
