    Ah - the difference between the UK and the USA - Britain has no written constitution superseding Parliament guaranteeing various individual rights, such as due process of law, and what rights one has depend entirely on the whim of Parliament, which can act as rational or as irrational as it wants.

    Perhaps the poor blokes can take the case to European court?

    Cameron could change it any time he had a mind to. (And so could have Gordon Brown, if Labour had wanted it.)
