Is it true that if guys that live in "BIG" cities, have "BIGGER" egos?

No, there's nothing like travelling on the tube to crush your self-esteem.

I don't think that's true at all. The bigger the population, the more below average people there are. So for us above average people, we can't help but be superior which people mistake for having big egos.

HA! I love that Thriller video!

I would have started cracking myself laughing! Doubly so when a few of the seated people ran away.

    Yep.

L.A. alone has a lot of overinflated, egotistical men. I've seen it, I've been told about it, I've experienced it. icon_rolleyes.gif

Just curious.. What brought up this question? Is this something a friend mentioned to you? Or did you have an unpleasant experience while visiting a particular city?

I can see why you would think that. I have friends in New York City and Los Angeles that tell me the same thing Rekindle said.

I don't think it's so much guys that "live in" big cities as guys that are "originally from" big cities, though I don't really agree with either statement.

Big egos can be found everywhere.....I personally belief they mask massive insecurities or the person is just a flat out sociopath....I've only met one in my entire life....and I learned after about a year, that the best thing to do is remove them from your life, no if's, ands or buts.

I think the reason it might seem more prevalent in bigger cities is they run in packs....insecure people that is....they are attracted to others they think are their "betters" and once they "fit in"....it grows like the blob.

Sociopaths don't join cliques....they are a clique of one.

    (Loved the Thriller video.)icon_biggrin.gif

I've found more instances of "Big Fish - Small Pond" than "Big City - Big Ego" as you put it in the various cities I've lived in.

There are big ego guys all over. But, the guys I met when I lived in NYC were some of the nicest I've met anywhere. So, I don't agree with the original topic.

I do think what someone else said about being born in a big city though. That seems to ring true to my experience.

Its from what I've been told (more than one) and yet to have experienced. Then again it could be one of you guys and not even realize it.

I tend to actually not find "Big Egos" anywhere particular (especially having lived in Paris for some time). That being said, I am guilty of going to less-than-big cities and of totally acting like a tool with such phrases as, "Oh you guys don't have that here?" or "O, in we always do ".

That being said, I have also been on the receiving end of the Big City Ego when people came to visit me when I lived in the French country side or even now, in Champaign.

No, no, bigger PENISES. We have bigger penises.

Sorry, I think that honor goes to the country boys. Has something to do with the fresh air, I believe. City air shrinks your dick.

lmao, I haven't noticed any size deviation. I just moved to a big city from a small city and the "selection" varies, i find it refreshing icon_wink.gif
