It looks as though that church has come a long way. At one time they strongly supported apartheid and opposed inter-racial relationships.

Wow never this is pretty big especially in Africa. I am still pretty shocked, but it is pretty awesome. I am extremely curious as to the impacts it may or may it have on the rest of Africa or the world.

The modern South African has changed a lot. Afrikaans speaking people are very up to date and at least bilingual. Some of the older Afrikaners are still opposed to just about anything other than what suits only them. Their kids are likewise influenced but even amongst those kids are many who are enlightened. Apartheid was introduced by the British who abused black people as slaves. The Dutch did the same. Dr Verwoerd who was prime minister started the idea of separate development. He was a pure Dutchman. White young men were conscripted to serve in the military and fight on the borders against terrorists, mostly blacks and some Cubans. That fueled the hate for black people as many terrorist acts were carried out by black people inside South Africa, Nelson Mandela also. Long before 1994 most white people actively campaigned to get rid of Apartheid, so it was not just an ANC effort backed by international sanctions. Gradually many things changed and equal rights became the issue to be sorted out. It took a while but it just shows that one must never give up and it does not have to happen through violence. If only we could get rid of the corruption and the crime, and get rid of Zuma and the incompetent ANC government, we would be on top of the world.

Great news. Will they bless polygamous marriages? I understand President Zuma has several wives.
