Agreed! Pretty much after season 1 (US version), it went downhill!

I probably need to turn in my gay card.

I don't like, and I never really saw the US version of Queer as Folk. The British version is okay if you can understand the accents.

With the us version, I remember on the pilot, one of the main characters is a junior in high school or something, and he's in a relationship with Hal Sparks or was it the other guy, and they have sex and he sleeps over, at the end of the episode they drop him off in time for school smh.

Yes. This show was "a snapshot in time".

If it was updated to today they would all be fat, flabby, gray and in their late 40's/early 50's.

NOT what most television viewers would want to see.

With respect, I don't agree. Past and present tv series with gay character or in this case, all gay character-depict youth , whimsical fantasy, where maturity seems to be missing in the character. I would like to see characters' in 40's 50's and even 60's give a positive image of these age groups as well.
Alto' you mentioned the majority of tv viewers would not be interested,
I think if it was done well it could be a success.

I remember people said who wants to see a show about elderly women??? Golden Girls

I don't see why it is necessary to redo old shows. Saying that, I will say that the later Battlestar Galactica was way better than the original.
