I just learned what that meant! I saw it on many guys' profiles and thought that sounds nice, I'd like to just hang out and watch movies and cuddle. Then I learned what it really meant!

Hmmh... I like your definition better than the urban dictionary definition. (For the latter I'd ditch the movies).

Hmm, interesting. Duly noted. Although I wonder why people still feel the need to use euphemisms in this day and age - why not just "Come on over to my place and let's bang one out"?

For you world travelers out there, in Sweden inviting someone up for "tea" traditionally means the same thing, although I'm not sure it's still used much.

People used to invite someone over to see their etchings.

I remember a few years ago all these guys were hitting me up telling me how "bored" they were. At first I was like "we live in New Orleans. How the hell can you be bored?"

These are all euphemisms so that they don't appear to be sluts, in case a friend or acquaintance happens to find their profile on a gay app/site. icon_lol.gif

For us older guys, back in the days we called it a Blockbuster night.

In more ways than one. icon_lol.gif

I figured it would mean something like that- but with the inclusion of a little laganja.

    Okay?

I had to Google that myself. I thought you would just sit on the sofa and binge watch "The Walking Dead" or something.

If you think about it though, you don't really even have to look up what it means to figure it out. If someone asks you over to watch a movie, and you've flirted prior, are you really going to sit in a dark room alone with someone you like and just watch the movie? I mean you can, but if you're courting still, you're both going to want to do more. I don't think though that the term should for sure mean sex, it should allude to it. Last thing we need is a person genuinely using both of those terms without knowing, and get in shit for not wanting to straight up have sex with someone indefinitely; sex shouldn't be an ordering system.

I had to turn down a "Netflix and chill" date last Saturday myself. I'm thinking to myself, if I wanted to watch Netflix and chill, I could stay home and do that. Even though it was a second date, I already know where this road leads to. And that's a dead end street.

...that's why I don't meet many people offline all the time. If I wanted to stay home and have sex, I don't have to leave my house to do that. Come to me with something intellectual, then we can meet.

Why don't gays say what they mean?

Do they want to be like women where you have to translate?
