I intend to watch it. I'll be attending an LGBT networking mixer from 6:30, but it's nearby and I should be back home just by 8 or a little after.

Further complication. Just got a call at home from a local restaurant owner. He made a Manhattan clam chowder just for me for lunch today. It's very rare and difficult to find that in this area, but I love it.

But then he also said he's offering a stuffed rock Cornish hen tonight, as well. Another of my favorites as he knows (it's like "Bob" day at his place), but I'll have to make a reservation, which would conflict with the debate. I'll find out during lunch if he'll have it again tomorrow night, when I think I'm free. Maybe he can put one aside and it won't suffer too much in quality.

No sooner do the Ringling Brothers & Barnum & Bailey pull out that Circus Vargas pulls in.

Welcome back, my friends, to the show that never ends.

I missed the first part. I will have to go back and listen to it.

The NRA is privately in <3 with Mrs. Clinton. After attacking the NRA, I bet the NRA is going to use that to tell their members that Mrs. Clinton will take their guns away. They will get so much money for that statement. It would not surprise me if they play it over and over and over. I have had calls from the NRA and I see how they lie to their members to get them to donate money out of fear.

    southbeach1500 saidGoodness gracious!

Such complications when one is as beloved in the "community" as you are. Custom made clam chowders, lovingly stuffed rock Cornish hens. What ever is a person to do?

I thought Hillary won, as do most political commentators. Sanders did a good imitation of a windmill, will his flailing arms, but I found him no more persuasive than any other angry old man. I'm not sure if he smiled the entire night.

Hillary won the debate with conventional-scoring. And she smiled quite a bit. I would advise her to keep up with genuine smiles.

Bernie Sanders succeeded in introducing himself to the public as a passionate warrior for the 99%. He had the best lines and lit up social media. He also successfully used the momentum of his campaign to raise money and get people out on their feet post-debate to hand out pamphlets. Bernie was also a winner.

Martin O'Malley looks so good on paper. Progressive policies, a record of getting progressive ideas into law, handsome, well-poised, youthful, looks good in a suit, fairly consistent, ect. But on stage he seems flat. Maybe it is his talking style. I am not sure.

I have no idea why Chafee and Webb are running. They reminded me of the reality show,"Blind Date." They were both entertaining, but in a cringe-worthy way that actually made me feel embarrassed just by watching their performance. I don't think they need to show up for the next debate.

As expected, my time was much better spent watching hardball than the fat, slow-pitch, mushball act put on in Vegas. Serious commentators note the timidity of the men - I use the term loosely - in calling out Billary on her email travails; and no, BS' calling for an end to it is not "dealing with the issue." Some are speculating that Debbie Wasserman-Schultz put out the word not to gang up on her beloved, and the guys, tools that they are, readily complied. The CPB-NPR-PBS Axis is, typically, gushing over their girl's performance; this is your tax dollars at work. For a more realistic, even-handed analysis of what didn't happen last night, check out the WSJ's stories on the non-event. And, let "what happened in Vegas stay in Vegas."

    GO CUBS!

WSJ = News Corp = Fox News

What is the point? The WSJ stopped being a legitimate news source when News Corp took it over.

Sorry, I disagree. While its standards have dropped since Murdoch took charge, it still runs miles around most other US newspapers in terms of objectivity and depth of investigating and reporting. And, compared to the overtly biased rags you routinely reference, it's like the difference between the NYT and the NYDN.

As Hillary says - you reveal too much, metta - "what is the point" indeed?
