So far I think Hillary is doing the best. Sanders comes across more hysterical than reasoned. The others are simply bland.

Hillary continues to be the most poised, comfortable, and focused of the debaters. Sanders has way too much body English. He's jumping all over the place.

Sanders waves his arms like he's directing an orchestra. He comes across as rather manic. All the other debaters are a bit more self-contained.

lol Hilary, how anyone can believe this woman's bullshit is beyond me

It's no wonder why so many Americans can be duped into accepting mediocre expensive healthcare, fake wars, corrupt banks and a mostly lousy K-12 educational system

What has Hillary got to do with any of those things?

OK, if you're just gonna be another irrational nutjob here, fine. Adult discussion is wasted in on the likes of you.

You might want to watch that first debate again. I think you're speaking of the 2nd CNN debate at the Reagan Library.

Meagan, in the first debate, was a pretty tough cookie with her line of questioning of all of the candidates. We all know The Donald didn't much like his questions.

In regards to this one: I was out and around most of the evening so I listened to most of it on XM - CNN. Listening, but not watching, I thought Hillary still sounded the best with Bernie close. Watching the last 30 minutes or so I thought Bernie was trying to fly or something. He was certainly VERY animated.

    Hillary did herself good tonight.

I think we are in general agreement. At least regarding how this debate went.

I think her performance may dissuade Biden from getting in the race.

Perhaps, but I think other factors are at play. Poll numbers among them.

It will be interesting to see how the media Monday morning (or in this case Wednesday morning) quarterbacks will rate the performances. I think Hillary will come out ahead, but we'll see.

And. I think the only Republican who can give her a real run is John Kasich, but he can't get through the noise in the primary with Trump.

    I see 1964 coming again.

How 1964 again? BTW, I'm reading the morning reviews of the debate, and as I expected, Hillary is being judged the winner. Even over Sanders, for all his arm waving.

He came across as an impassioned, well-meaning, but really, really old guy. The kind you meet in a barber shop or bar, who's interesting to listen to, but who you don't elect as President.

    "How 1964 again? BTW"

    61.1% versus 38.5%

And IMO, correct about Sanders. Listening to him is one thing, but when you watch and listen he comes off as much older.

I did not see the debate last night, now wishing i did.

they say the candidates were less insane than a typical republican debate.

If you had 17 candidates you can be assured yours would be just as "insane"

I'm finding it hard to believe someone as jaded as you was ever an optimist.

Besides, things weren't all that rosy in 1976: The Vietnam War had just ended, with the highest US combat death toll (58,151) since WW2 - It's still the highest, 40 years later - and you had an unelected president in office, owing to his crooked predecessor having resigned amid the biggest scandal in US political history (before or since).

Democrats are in power and they should get on with governing because the Republicans have already disbanded. Americans should call off this election and save the money for something better.

Anderson was tough but respectful. He did an excellent job. The consensus is that Hillary won the debate, and I agree. She was masterful, strong, and well-informed. Based on this debate, I don't believe that Biden should run.

I was a huge optimist in 1976 and for some time afterwards. I thought we actually learned something from Vietnam. I though we would enjoy a tremendous "peace dividend" after the Berlin Wall fell. WE DID NOT

We have the same bullshit over and over and over again - and we elect the same shitty politicians like Hilary Clinton to enable it

Maybe some day we will address the outrageously expensive, mediocre healthcare system due to price fixing and outright fraud. Maybe one day we can explain a $20 TRILLION debt with ZERO to show for it to kids with $55,000 in student debt.

So go right ahead and vote for Hilary - and expect the same bullshit - because that is what we will get
