Are gay people all sex-crazed horn-dogs? Is "checking out guys" what started us down this immoral road to homosexuality? Are gay relationships based soley on sex and physical looks?

Well to the Christian fundies... I introduce BFLAG: Blind, Friends, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender People.

    http://www.bflag.org/Home_Page.html

Those born visually impaired have never set site on a hot guy... nor a penis... nor porn.

Doesn't the fact that a gay blind person actually exists... strike at the heart of the Christian arguement that gays are shallow, sex-crazed, and give into physcial temptation?

Doesn't the existance of BFLAG prove that being gay is more than just physical attraction in the visual sense?

Yes! A logical rational argument is clearly what will change their minds!

I think it does indeed point to some other mechanism for homosexual attraction .. a deeper psychological need.

I find this so touching. Can you imagine the isolation a visually-impaired gay person must feel? I'm so glad that you brought this up cjc. Good point too! Unfortunately, being gay will still be seen as being the "work of the devil" to anyone who thinks it's a "choice". I used to see groups of hearing-impaired guys, many HOT guys (because I am blessed with working eyes), come into some Tampa gay bars and hang out. They would move and groove and have fun and communicate via sign language. And my heart would melt because, before then, I was so worried that my shirt wasn't tight enough or or that I wasn't in the right spot or said HI to the right person. It always put everything into perspective. I have since changed.

I don't think that anything that can be proven in any way is ever going to change thier min.Becuase if it is provenit change the whole argument.Since mais created in his image and by him and you still think it wornou would have to admit GOD made a mistake. That would destroy the chruchicon_twisted.gif

Except according to Christian psychology, homosexuality comes from a lack of affirmation in your male identity. It has nothing to do, supposedly, with porn or anything like that.

Not likely. Remember, the willfully blind see even less than the physically blind.

Won't stop a thing. As long as the religious right is given any credence or power, they'll always be right icon_biggrin.gif

In theory you could just have given the christian right there answer to CJc's arguement. a large segment of people believe that men are gay because they lacked a strong father figure in their life. a blind child would in many cases be ignored or abandoned by a father who is not interested in a "weak" or "broken" child, and in turn is gay in an effort to find that male attachment.

Sedative> the willfully blind see even less than the physically blind.

We're not going to change the minds of the wilfully blind, but let's not forget that they are a small minority. Nonetheless, they are out there, recruiting, every day. Trying to blind and convert others.

These type of arguments are for them.
    The "undecided", if you will.
