For the first time, for the past week, every time I'm on RJ within a few minutes my internet freezes and I have to close out of Safari.

    No other website causes this,

    What's up with RealJock?

I'm using Safari on an iMac and also an iPad, and RJ is working normally. I'm not sure what to suggest. I presume you've restarted your computer a few times, and have the current upgrades of the OS and Safari.

From time to time, RJ will freeze my browser and I need to open a new tab or new window. icon_neutral.gif

I use Chrome, by the way.

I was having the same problem over a couple of days earlier this week. It seemed to have something to do with a long-running script for the ads. Now I seem to be OK.

I haven't experienced freeze but noticeable slowdown and especially now with threads containing youtubes which were slower than nonyoutubed threads but now much more noticeably so.

This machine is a few years old already so I'm running on an intel core i5 @ 3.00 GHz with 12 GB phys mem & 23.9 virtual.

Just ran a test to processes. Began with ccleaner to delete cookies and here's what I got:

before explorer brought to visible window:

    program...........memory............cpu
    explorer.exe......28,476k...........0%

explorer clicked onto windows with google home page

    program...........memory............cpu
    explorer.exe......28,476k...........0%
    iexplorer.........64,468............0
    Iexplorer.........18,070............0

    realjock on MS explorer

    program...........memory............cpu
    iexplorer........120,870k..........3-12
open forum......................spikes to 21%, stays above 20% for a few moments then settles down to under 4%. Open profile spikes to 29% before settling to below 4%.

Maybe those spikes are freezing your machine.

Periodic posts in any of the Guy Above You threads will keep your browser humming along nicely.

Here's a thought: some years ago I remember RJ was really slowing down on me in the Forums, virtually to the point of freezing. I clicked the "preferences" at the top grey line (in my Safari), and scrolled down to "REALJOCK FORUM PREFERENCES". These had been set to show "All" forum posts per page. I reset it to 50 posts per page.

Apparently longer threads with lots of graphic & video content could bog my iMac down. But it can handle 50 posts at a time without a problem.

Is it Realjock with the troublesome issues or is it safari because I am having the same problems.
