Having grey hair slowly but surely creep up on me for the last 10 years I have found that I have had more attention from guys that are a lot younger than me and some of these have been abercrombie types, what is the turn on because the body isn't as toned as it used to be and I haven't found that to be a problem so whats the attraction ?????

Abercombie isn't doing well, maybe they got laid off and are looking for Daddy Warbucks!

But seriously, if it works, why question it? I have it too and hate it, but it seems like a big pain to keep it colored and not looking like shoe polish, especially since I have a beard I'd have to dye every other day or something. Too much work.

Ha yeh shifty, maybe we could stand outside Abercrombie and Fitch with our shirts off and pull in the young guys to the store and their profits will go up haha
Haven't dyed the hair and agree natural is obviously best.

I hated it when my chest started turning gray at age 30. So I started shaving it. But I find the salt and pepper look pretty sexy with a good haircut. I'd never color my hair because I'm kind of mixed brown/blond and that always looks fake when colored. Surprisingly, I haven't gone very gray at all for my age. Now prematurely gray guys look great. I think ultimately, a good looking guy stays good looking and most, but not all, attempts at hair coloring just look kind of sad. For men. I totally endorse women coloring. All southern women are blonds by age 50. And it looks super.

Having to make the facial hair match to me is the show-stopper. If women have facial hair that is another ageing problem they must deal with!

It can look great under the right conditions, but it can also be a total turn off.

The reality is, if I met someone who has gray hair and he's awesome otherwise, I doubt if it would be any kind of a hold up.. after all, it really is a minor thing in the real world.

yeh shaving grey chest hair probably helps and will do the same as its starting there now, bugger, but yeh my looks haven't subsided too much yet and most people think I am mid thirties even though I just turned 42, my hair was blond and now brown with grey in it but bleaches if i'm in the sun which blends it a little, it happened pretty slowly though so have had time to get used to it and its silvery rather than grey which I think looks a little better.
What do the young guys think?

It's just another hair color. It looks great on some guys and others not so much. The same way not all guys look good as blondes.

I started having gray hair at 11yo and noticed I had plenty on the sides by the time I got to college. The guy who cuts my hair suggested never use color because gray on men with a full head of hair tends to look good (not all, but many).

Honestly, I didn't even realize I had it until a school teacher pointed it out. Then every teacher up until college has said something about it, nothing negative, at least from what I recall. It's all genetics. And it's never bothered me or the dating scene. I had my 1st bf at 22 when I came out. The gray has always been a non-issue for me.

Glad to hear that, being different at school can cause problems with bullying so glad it hasn't affected your confidence in any way.
Found 3 on my arm this summer, bollocks, couldn't believe it so pulled out those babies haha [yes I am English saying the word bollocks] don't we have some great swear words haha

Well I don't find George Clooney attractive but many people do, actually I can't think of anyone famous with grey hair that I do, but I have found guys my age and a little older attractive so i'm not sure whats going on there.
Some Elderly women in the UK dye their hair with this bluey tinge, maybe I should do this and start a new trend for the guys haha
any thoughts, do women do that in the US ?
Maybe dye my pubes purple like Billy Connolly [scottish comedian for those that don't know]

I think it's unappealing when men older men color their hair to try and appear younger. If they do it they need to keep on top of it and never let their new-growth show. There are also different types of hair color. Many products cover gray with a very opaque and very fake looking hair color. I highly discourage that for men. I think the best hair color, if a man chooses this path, is to use a transparent hair color so as to only only partially cover it up. It looks more natural this way.

That is true. if you have a weathered, craggy face and coal black, uniformly-colored hair, or a blond surfer cut, it is very obviously not your real color and probably draws attention to rather than mask your age. I'm not real gifted in the looks department but I try to work with what I was given. A real high-maintenance ongoing project like that would be putting lipstick on a pig, and also take up time I don't have.

not necessary the for front of fashion are they? At this point the staff is comprised of lawyers and off shore buyers. They will be there when the last mall shuts down.

    the grey
one option is to trim the hair short, if this works for you all good, it will make your life easier.

I loved it when my temples went grey in my 30s. I thought that a hot look.

I was okay with it when I went salt and pepper in my 40s. Polite people told me I looked distinguished.

But there seems more salt than pepper in my 50s and I now think my face has a water retention problem ever since age took my hair off low sodium.

I'm not into dyeing hair or fussing so my hair doctor has recommended a buzz cut which won't get rid of the grey but reduces sun glare off the silver. I often drive with the top down and I was afraid of becoming a road hazard.
