    I'm heading to New Orleans for Pre Mardi-Gras Festivities the 12th-18th of this month...However, I don't know what to do once I get there. I'm headed there with two of my best friends lauren and joelle, and I know we're going to have a fun time regardless of where we go/what we do...but is there anythings/places that I should do or go to? and are there any things/places that I should AVOID doing/going to? lol. Also...is anyone else going? =)

    A complete answer to this question would take a book.

    In a nutshell:
    1) be very aware of your surroundings, both in the good and bad senses;
    2) be prepared for the fact that the locals are NOT shy, both in the good and bad senses;
    3) don't drink TOO much (good luck with that); and
    4) don't be surprised if you end up doing things you'd never do at home.

    Enjoy, it's the country's greatest free show.
