Hi guys, don't judge me, but I'm a graduate student who is seriously attracted to a younger student on campus. The thing is, I'm pretty sure he's straight, and I have no idea how to talk to him or what to talk about. He works in a computer lab that I use often... has this happened to anyone? Any advice or tips?

A grad student with time to think about sex or romance? No... never heard of such a thing. You must be slacking off. Get back to work.

If he's straight, there's no use pursuing him. If you're interested, ask him out. If he says no and you feel weird, switch computer labs. There's no use lusting after someone who you know off the bat is not attracted to you sexually (i.e. straight guys).

Ya, just ask him out. If you see him often, just start saying Hi. All you really have to say is that you see him often when you're in the lab and just wondered if he'd like to get a cup of coffee, beer, whatever after work. Do it!
