I don't remember that at all. Looks like only lasted for a few shows. Yeah, 76/77. I was in school by then, not really paying attention to the Brady Bunch.

But the synch swim brings me back especially because where I swam for so many years at the Hall of Fame pools in Lauderdale had a big poster--a street sign really--of Esther Williams. I think they took that sign down when they constructed the Arquitectonica building at the entrance.

Holy shit, I just googled it. Fucking internet is excellent. Here's that signage:

And this one was right next to it...

Those were right along the street at the entrance. Wow, haven't seen those in years. I loves the internets.

I believe it was all Reed's idea - makes sense, he was gay as a French trombone, after all.

They also tried a drama called The Bradys. Set in the same house, the kids grown, following their triumphs and tragedies. Very weird, kind of cool because of its experimental quality. I think it lasted about five minutes.

I remember it, I was a little kid, but I remember it... it was panned in the press and kind of pathetic.
    Cancelled quickly.

Probably the only good performance this show ever had with Greg, Marcia and Jan. And I don't even care for country music that much.

Word on the street was that the actress that played Jan, Eve Plumb, wanted nothing to do with this debacle... So they re-cast the role.

This was spoofed in an episode of the Simpsons where they had the "The Simpson Family Smile-Time Variety Hour" and Lisa was replaced by a stand-in as well.

I totally remember this show. I think i watched every episode of this very short lived series. God only knows why. I remembering thinking how much Jan didn't look like Jan. I wasn't fooled by a fake Jan at all. Now does anyone remember the Brady Brides?
