    Hello

I'm visiting Seattle in a week from now and very excited. I hear it's similar to Vancouver? Anyway any recommendations to where to go? Historic things to see? I heard about a few places like Pike market, and the first Starbucks. Also I want to do some shopping down there and if anyone knows which places to shop especially urban apparel, it will be greatly appreciated.

Don't bother going to the 1st Starbucks. The lines are always long and the menu is no different than the other 117 Starbucks stores in the 5 mile radius of downtown Seattle. The only reason to go there is to so you can have your pic taken and then post it on Facebook.

Otherwise, for historic sites, the underground tour is pretty cool. Might want to check out the Space Needle too since that's Seattle's iconic landmark.

Better hurry: They're going to steam clean the wall of gum on Tuesday the 10th:

Or maybe you can stick the first new piece on the clean wall.

    Ew.

the big black bank building is taller than the needle. do it. You can see the stadiums from there too.

top right corner is the view.

there are a lot of art deco buildings downtown and free buses.
in construction areas, urban trees have price tags on them if you hurt them, thousands of dollars, worth seeing.

There is a small square downtown with totems and things, and a lot of cool street art.

What activities do you like to do or like in general?

    Touristy stuff:
-Fremont Troll in Fremont area-- also a nice artsy walk neighborhood.
-First Starbucks- just take a picture in front of the original sign and then move on.
-Space Needle area. Chihuli glass museum is beautiful if you like that kinda stuff.
-Red Mill Burger on Phinney Ridge is awesome!
-If you have a car, leave the city and do a hike somewhere nearby (weather permitting).

For urban fashion hit Byrnie Utz hats - 310 Union St - you can't go wrong there.

I like long walks, fine dining, sight seeing/beaches, bars/clubs and historic places.

Thank you I think I'm going to check out Fremont Troll and I don't but my friend does.
