HOMOPHOBIC LESBIANS

I hadn't given this much thought til recently, but I really find most lesbian (of the more butch variety) to be very arrogant, haughty, and even sometimes downright homophobic towards gay men; very similar to homophobic straight men. Is this why gay men tend to hang out with straight women more than gay women, who are so called "family" to us?

Where does this attitude lesbians have towards gay men stem from? Would any of you agree that lesbians are this way because they (for the most part) do not experience the same ostracism, and hatred from society that gay men face?

Does it piss any of you off whenever you encounter a homophobic female (straight bi or les) in general? There's something about a woman being homophobic that really enrages me, even more so than a man being a homophobe. I guess I expect it from a man, due to how society brainwashes men to think being gay, or being associated with gay men somehow makes them less of a man.

Whenever I hear a female make a negative comment or slur towards gay men, I just want to tie her legs apart, and turkey baste blast her vagina full of Tabasco sauce.

It also really angers me that lesbian couples can truly be themselves and show affection in public, with hardly anyone batting an eyelash; but when it's a gay MALE couple (which you don't see very often as it is) they have a tendency to walk 5-10 feet apart from each other so they don't look too obvious, and draw negative attention to themselves.

I live in Houston, TX; the 4th largest city in America, and I can count on one hand how many times I've seen a gay male couple holding hands IN THE MAINSTREAM PUBLIC. It makes me feel really awful and depressed about being a gay man..especially knowing so many lesbians think they're better than us.

Does anyone ever feel this way about being a gay man, and about lesbians?

Well look at you. Guys who look like you (especially gay) don't really have much room in the brain for introspective deep thinking. Too busy meal prepping, steroid injecting, and bench pressing.

I think you need to start looking in the mirror. Either you're so filled with self hate that you see the world as hostile or you just radiate so much anger that the only people who will talk to you are just like you.

To comment on this and your other thread about handsome gays vs handsome straights, I've know many lesbians and they've all been kind and loving, if a bit loud. I've know handsome guys straight and gay and only a few have been dickish about their good fortune.

You need to get a life or get a therapist.

Think they hate us because they've had to do most of the heavy lifting when it comes to gay rights.
Also, they really think penis is disgusting--having one and sucking on another...so gross.

Huston must be horrible...I see gay men together all the time; like, everywhere. I only see the girls at wine tastings and Home Depot.

Lesbians are just as problematic as gay men-just in different ways. Some are really nice and some are awful.
This applies to gay men and heterosexual people as well.
Sure there are some lesbians who might be jealous of a gay or straight man because they feel like a man trapped inside a womans body.
To be honest i dont know any lesbians but the few that i've met never really liked me.

Wow a 40 year old man using sassy teenage girl kingo combined with ghetto "ratchet" slang. Gay men are sad disturbed creatures. It's like that movie Freaky Friday. Did you switch personalities with your 15 year old niece? BE A MAN AND TALK LIKE ONE.

And so is DEFLECTING. I don't need advice from a man who's 40 and talks like a high school girl. YOU should seek therapy for THAT.

And don't make shit up to validate your own nonsensical bs. It wasn't EVERYBODY who said I should seek therapy, it was one old leathery queen who's opinion matters to nobody but himself. Obviously I struck a nerve here. You're a 40 year old homo who has the mind and vocabulary of a high school aged girl. I don't care how common that behavior may be with gay men, it's beyond pathetic and disturbing.

The OP has noticed some lesbians are homophobes, and so are some gay men. Consequentlt, he painted his conclusions with a very broad brush, which many of you noticed and to which you rightly took offense. As such, the OP portrayed the (presumably) gay men who disagree with him as sissies, pathetic, leathery and old, 40 year old school girls, as well as brainless steroid injected gym rats. Yet, when you distill his descriptions of what umbrage he has with other gay men, he has indicated he does not like them because, essentially, they are catty queens.

Realize, Ad Hominem fallacy is the first resort of the intellectually bankrupt.

What we have here is not a call for discussion, but rather a desperate search for confirmation bias of a cognitive dissonance. So, leave the poor guy alone to hang with his straight girls.

Buddy, best of luck to you. Choose joy instead of causticity, choose happiness instead of defensiveness, and choose to see the best in others so they will see the best of you. And if all else fails, simply affirm the humanity in others by meeting then where they are at. Affirmation of their humanity isn't tacit approval of everything they say or do, but it lets others know you see them, value them as a human despite whatever faults they may or may not have, and that you may or may not believe they have.

Overall, choose peace. This post (not the topic, as there are some valid points to be made) from the start, didn't choose peace.

I think this is also a gender bias issue. Women bitch and complain about making 70cents to the dollar that men make, but don't complain when men spend 100 bucks on them at a bar or date, or even more once in a relationship. They also don't think about all of the social benefits they receive such as sexual fluidity, emotional freedom, allowing men to do harder work in jobs, lower suicide rate etc. So yeah of course they are going to have benefits, just don't expect any given woman to focus on any positive benefits of being a woman in our society for more than 10 seconds, or you will be labeled a Miso.

Hey SupremeFit, you live in a very conservative city in a very conservative county in a very conservative state. What do you expecticon_question.gif To add fuel onto the already smoldering fire of dislike towards gay men, the GLB community in Houston along with the GLB communities nationwide need to permanently purge themselves of these gender bending radicals known as transgenders because of the horrible, negative image they are giving gay, lesbian, and to a certain extent bisexual Americans. Look at the recent results of the election that would have allowed these transgender freaks to use the women's restrooms, it was shot down by an overwhelming majority of Houstonians and I would not be surprised that a fairly large number of gay, lesbian, and bisexual Houstonians also voted against this transgender rights bullshit.

I do think most straight guys and butch women feel like they can push the "sissies" around...and they totally can most of the time. Most gay men only know how to fight online. Keep it real, y'all.
