Bought too many avocados (they were on sale.)

They don't keep well - fridge or not.

If mixed up (like in guacamole) can the mixture be kept in a fridge for any time?

I have some luck with mixing in lots of lime juice and pressing a sheet of plastic wrap down over the surface, to exclude oxygen. Then have guacamole for every meal.
It goes with everything! When it has to...

How many did you buy? I never get more than 2 or 3 at a time. I buy ones that are rock hard. One goes in the fruit bowl, the others in the fridge. I don't wanna eat one every day, about every 3rd. The last one is still pretty hard when I take it from the fridge, I still have to let it sit at room temp about a day or so.

Sealing sliced avocado in a tupperware with cut onion is I believe the best method.

avocados are a source of vegan fat. If your diet needs to swing that way. A avocado banana smoothy is simple great. Freeze slices of the avocado, still frozen, use them in a smoothy.

You can peel the avocado and take the fruit and put in a ziplock freezer bag. Mash it up in the bag and freeze it. It allows you to buy avocados when they are on-sale and not waste them. Take a bag out of the freezer and add to soups/stews in the winter or use for making quacamole.

The best way is to leave them on the tree. Assuming that you bought them in the store or already took them off the tree, freezing them is probably the next best option.

I have tried to acquire a taste for avocados due to their tremendous nutritional value but so far no diceicon_sad.gif

    Oh, I love them.
Last Friday, I had an omelette with bacon and chunks of avocado. Fabulous.
