Interesting background, definitely a Reagan Democrat (tea party). However impressive medical background this guy has, I don't see anything in his bio that would qualify him as president of the united states. He does not even have any law background of any kind which I think would be required for the executive branch of government, that interacts with the other law and constitution based branches, legislative and judicial. This guy would be a complete "puppet" of the republican party, their lawyers and the other branches of government.
Sorry, not qualified
Son of a Baptist minister and a General Motors employee (Detroit's Cadillac plant). Baptized SDA near Detroit- Gross Point boarder.
Went to high school, in downtown Detroit, near Detroit-Windsor bridge, JROTC training instead of autoshop
U of M medical school graduate (Ann Arbor)
Yale University (same as GW Bush), psychology major, probably a skull/bones member
Met his spouse at Yale but both from Detroit, they are both vegetarians
He has a school named after him, Dr. Benjamin Carson High School of Science and Medicine
Carson Scholars Fund, which awards scholarships to students in grades 4–11 for "academic excellence and humanitarian qualities". They founded it after reading that U.S. students ranked second to last in terms of math and science testing among 22 countries (conflicts with republican hated common core)
Is seriously conflicted as he supports creationism rather that evolution and anti climate change even though he set up his scholar fund for students of science, why not scholar fund for theology then?
Hes a "for profit" medical surgeon who probably had a tremendous amount of student loan paybacks but I am sure his well paid, blue collar fathers work at General Motors help put him through school too, no wonder hes anti socialized medicine
On the board of directors at Costco? On the board of directors at Michigan based Kellogg's cereal? Ok, he is definitely a pro business, corporate favorite (typical republican)
Another conflict, some Adventists have argued that his political positions on gun rights and religious liberty conflict with historic Adventist teachings in favor of nonviolence, pacifism, and the separation of church and state
