I love pretty much anything Sia does --- one of the greatest talents in Pop Music today bar none --- but I'm getting bored with the use of young girls in the videos to interpret the music. Regardless, I'd put Sia's vocals right up there with Adele and some of the other great female vocalists. As a songwriter, she's unbelievably talented --- not to mention VERY rich.

Sounds like every other female pop vocalist to me and with an overly produced Hollywood style video. Most gay men will love it.

You must not be that familiar with Sia's music. She has a very distinctive raw sound, not like all the auto-tuned stuff you get from the vast majority of current pop vocalists. "Chandelier" is still one of my favorites...

    But have you seen "Bandolier"?

Great respect for Sia as an artist, but this is a disappointment. I wonder who produced it? It sounds too pop for Sia.

I'm not saying she doesn't have a good voice; she does. But it's what you do with your talent that counts. And it sounds overly produced and pop to me. There's nothing unique about it and I find it boring.

    Couldn't get through the video.
    Sia and another child video.
So, I watched the next video up: Adele's "Hello".

I always loved Chandlier, but don't know a lot of her other stuff. This one sorta grows on you as the music progresses. I don't know too much about Sia- but is the reason she never shows her face, due to the fact she doesn't wanna be recognized.....and can go out in public?

Nope. No sarcasm in the least. I find her boring and unoriginal. Paying a child to dance around a room in flesh-tone leotards does not make a song better.

The first time I heard chandelier I was unimpressed ...then I listened to the other songs on her album, and then her other albums and now I'm a huge fan. I love the emotion in her voice, especially if you listen to her live. To me her music has this retro-pop-funk that this song is kind of missing. It's ok though.

Boring? Can't you feel the passion in her voice?
Unoriginal? She's a pop star that doesn't need to show her face or do overly sexual music videos to get sales and recognition. If what you get from her videos is "a child dancing around a room", I'm sorry but you must have a low IQ to not get the metaphorical undertones.

I was talking about the video more than the song. And you know Sia is not your average pop singer, like Adele.

Oh I couldn't watch all of the video. I found it tedious, although I don't doubt there's some kind of deep meaning in there somewhere. No matter how great a music video might be, it comes second to the song. If the music doesn't grab me I'm not going to watch the video. And I don't deny the girl can sing, but there are millions of great singers out there. Talent alone doesn't cut it; you have to do something original with that talent, and I just don't see anything original or captivating about her music.

I love Sia. She is one the best artists around. I prefer her earlier work but she is still amazing. I find her to be very unique and talented.
