I've posted about Astro-Carto-Graphy (locational astrology), what happened when I moved from Venus on the Midheaven to Saturn on the Descendant.

God makes itself known in another life

    Astrocartography experiences?

    BeSirius

The initial reason i got into astrocartography was because i moved to a place, and after a few very arduous years of toil and trouble, i was left seriously questioning what 'energy' was at play in that place which had me failing in every area of life, no matter what i tried.

I have the determination of a bull but the place just tore me down shred by shred!

Astrocartography revealed that it was a place for me where nothing would work out and i would end up questioning what on earth i was doing and whether it is worth it.

Believe it or not, I have been living in a city for the past 25 years that is near my Saturn Descendant line.

Supposedly this is one of the worst of lines. However, I have never been out of work here for any dangerous amount of time. ('Hard work is met and accepted here.") And it is very stable. You have to understand what it is you're looking for.

I have one that really validated Astrocartography for me.

After I graduated from College in May 2010, I didn't know what to do career-wise, so I took an invitation from someone in my spiritual group to volunteer at a Foundation for underprivileged children in Colombia, South America. As soon as he told me about it, I felt really inspired to go. It was as if destiny was calling me; my parents and family greatly opposed me (since Colombia has a bad reputation, I understand why), but I withstood all opposition and finally flew down there a few months later. Somehow I knew I would be protected. All I can say was that it was really a magical experience for me. Incidentally, there were some close-calls (had a motorcycle crash, had to go into bad neighborhoods, etc) but I never actually felt scared there.

The foundation was set up in a very poor area for kids who were exposed to drugs and sexuality at young ages; we were teaching them leadership and life lessons to give them a way out. I am by nature a reserved person who doesn't easily show feelings- but the South American culture is very affectionate and emotional, and I was discovering a side of myself I never knew! I was more expressive and parental towards the kids and felt an odd sense of security there. The locals also got to know and respect me a bit there. In a strange way it felt like a home away from home. I stayed there about four months, before I finally left in December of that year. About a year later, I ended up leaving the spiritual group due to some heated disagreements, but I can say without a doubt that I was karmically meant to go there and have that experience.

How this relates to Astrocartography is that one day I randomly was checking out AstroClick Travel on this website; when I clicked the South America map I was shocked to see that my Moon/MC line was EXACTLY crossed the area of Colombia I visited. Not only that, but the Moon was at its Zenith there (i.e. the little circle on the line, which means that is where it is most strongly felt)! Everything I read from the Moon/MC description pretty much fit exactly with what I felt/experienced there - the social recognition, helping society, blending of my private and outer life, etc.

Since I related to that so well, I'm a much stronger believer of astrocartography now. Granted, the Moon is very strong in my natal chart anyway (it is conjunct my Sun, and both are in the 4th house of Cancer, which rules it), so that may be why I felt it so strongly. I don't know if I'd feel it as strong if it were other planets, but it's possible.

    Where was this?

    BeSirius

It was 'Crossing Saturn AC / Uranus IC'

    Astroclick travel report for that:

As a general rule, you experience a tense but also exciting time in this place, and typically for Saturn, upcoming problems can only be solved with patience and persistence. Overall, there is a meeting of the old and new - the combination of conventional and progressive life attitudes. Your desire for change and freedom has to undergo a long and unrelenting reality check. (Oh gosh yes!!)

There can be work-related conflicts in the contact with state institutions and conservative powers. Yes, many fines, court orders for traffic 'offences', almost went to prison, continuous bad luck with the 'law' despite being law-abiding!)
Your desire to experiment and the need for individual self-expression may be both blocked due to major opposition. If projects which have been commenced here are either delayed or fall apart due to the narrow confines of bureaucratic law, you should start thinking about whether you are on the right track. (Every element of what i wanted to 'build' was blocked. Many MANY times i questioned the path!)
However, rules, plans and intentions which are able to withstand this challenging influence form a solid basis for your future endeavours. (As i am still physically 'stuck' in this place i have no choice but to battle on, but i'm not sure that any plans and intentions have yet withstood this influence - even after 7 yrs here - i firmly plan to sell up and leave when the finances allow)

That info is from my Natal chart of the place i moved to - NOT relocated natal to the place i moved to - relocated natal said everything would be wonderful and i would be embraced by everyone! LOL I've made very few connections here and to the point that reputation has been tarnished without cause. It's been a very weird experience - Uranus and Saturn! Gosh! lol

It has taught me some things however - perseverance...and not to react to everything. Float in life...dont get attached to wants/dreams....but i think this influence has me being a bit more of a cynic/pessimist than i would like just due to the continual bitter experiences here.

I am very much interested in astrocartography too.

I've always felt very comfortable in the UK. There are no lines for me there, but a lot of Mars and Jupiter energies that makes me feel self-confident.

In the last years I started thinking more and more about the US. i had the need to go there. Like I belonged to there. Especially the north east. I have been there twice the last two years.
I have Saturn MC line running close to NY, Philadelphia etc.
At the same time there is another line Pluto Asc that makes me feel those places - and myself- very erotic, but at the same time I experience a kind of fear and on the long run I start feeling depressed and stuck.

I also have the NN IC close by and so I always felt terribly at home. Last year I was supposed to stay in NY just few days but I just couldn't leave. I cursed it when I left.

I felt uncomfortable being a tourist, I only felt the need of a job and home and have a small circle of friends.

It really puzzled me. I have never been in Boston, but looking at the lines, these feelings might even be stronger.

I've always felt comfortable on my Venus MC line, as when I went to Paris or in the Netherlands. All my love for art was enhanced there and I thought that my dream job would involve art.

Now jupiter is conj my natal venus and I realize that many places I was thinking of recently have the Venus ASC line close by,
    like Chicago ecc.

As for my birthplace, Florence, I have jupiter/uranus so I always crave for some international and modern environment that is hard to find. i have jupiter/chiron so it is true that I have my very personal ideas and moon nodes/chiron that makes me look very sensitive and transparent my makes me ignore my needs as an adult person. Tough configuration.

Unfortunately I don't have any NN on the MC etc, so it seems there is no place really suitable for me to grow.

Interesting. Astronomers are finding the galaxies cluster in shapes of the platonic solids. Russian scientists found that continental drift is slowly causing the land to drift into shapes of the platonic solids, specifically the dodecahedron and icosahedron combined, being the feminine and masculine shapes. It's as if the microcosm is mirroring the microcosm with these shapes and even star alignments, planetary alignments, are examples of an interconnected universal grid that connects everything like in quantum entanglement in quantum physics. Even the platonic solids in their degrees are all numbers found in precession of the equinoxes; see Randall Carlson's work on precession and cosmic cycles of disaster.

I'm a Natal Sun-Sign Taurus. I lived on my Venus Mid-Heaven angle in locational astrology (Astro-Carto_Graphy).
After 26-1/2 years, I moved to my Saturn Descendant angle.
There is NO skepticism about Astrology now.

    Refrain:
    Oh, it’s real, it’s real!
    O I know it’s real.
Praise God, all doubts are settled,
    For I know, I know it’s real.

    Verse:
So I prayed to God in earnest,
And not caring what folks said.
    I was hungry for the blessing;
My pour soul—it must be fed.
Then at last by faith I touched Him
And, like sparks from smitten steel,
Just so quick salvation reached me.
    O bless God, I know it’s real!

    Refrain

    line

    Well said!

ACG changes people's views about astrology. It jut works! There is no doubt about that.

I just returned from a short conference trip to a place where I have Pluto exactly on the AC. To say it was intense just doesn't quite capture it. In the 3 days I was there I gave three condolences for deaths and two birthday wishes - and this is just the superficial stuff.

ACG lines start to work as soon as you arrive in a location (I felt it at the airport - just look at how people move, how they interact with you and their facial and language expressions). They get stronger over time, and often settle because your brain adapts (or you die or go crazy or something).

The question that I still have to answer is: why do we end up in some places and not others even if we try to get to where we want to go? What makes it that we end up in some places? I've had answers to this question but not a satisfactory one.

The other question is: how do we decide where to go if we have both good and bad influences there? Most of us have both good and bad aspects, so how can we decide?

I now have an offer to go to a place with Jupiter on the MC, Sun on the IC (good)......and Neptune on the DC (the worst angle for a hard planet!)

I wouldn't want to be at Neptune DC but I did not judge it the worst of the 4 angles:

    MC: life long delusions
    AC: no real self-awareness
    IC: dependent on others
    DC: problem commitments

For me, I thought MC, AC, and IC each was a point more undesirable than DC.

I have never lived really really far away but I have moved a lot in life. Vancouver Island, British Columbia Canada is where I get a beautiful cross between Venus & Uranus - I feel most pleased, beautiful with a life that offers me a tremendous amount of freedom.

    Stephen

    pleased, beautiful - Venus
    tremendous freedom - Uranus

My travel job has me living in other cities for a week at at a time, but I always feel like I am a less Healthier self without the freedom to enjoy what I like. Interferes with my fitness and health regime. Closer to Saturn line there. Duh .. I'm there to work long hours. I did live there for long time before and first husband was extremely controlling and obsessive - I felt suffocated so I moved back to Vancouver Island. Married the best man I've ever met in my life.
