I was a bit nervous since I signed up solo. It was a brutal 10 mile run. Despite a shoulder injury, I managed to pull myself over inverted walls, traversed muddy walls using only ropes, crawled through a room with tear gas, survived the freezing ice bath, and some brutal electrocution before I crossed that finish line.

I woke up with a sore body(mostly my shoulder) and may have to stick to light exercise for a week or two while I heal, but i'm feeling pretty damn good right now!

    That's awesome, man.
But, like what do u actually get from doing a tough mudder?
    besides being sore?
    Serious question..

Everyone has their own story. I just enjoy the challenge. If I'm gonna train hard, I'd like to see what I can physically and mentally handle given the circumstances.

the camaraderie is great. I joined the race alone but ended up working together with other people. Other than that, you generally just get a t shirt, free beer and an after party to enjoy with the other racers and spectators.
