I was eating an orange and a fuckin seed got stuck in my throat, I googled how to get rid of it and someone says with surgery and local anesthesia it's possible. WTF? Im not going through that and Im the only one awake at this hour so you be useful and tell me how to remove the damn thing -and save all your jokes, this is serious, it's like its almost in the respiratory system I dont want to inhale it and grow a tree in my lung.

More info: it doesnt matter how hard I exhale or what I eat, the seed is stuck there

Even if you did swallow it, you will not grow a tree in your lung, because that is scientifically impossible.

It's probably not stuck in your throat. It scratched the esophagus on the way down, that's what you're feeling. it will heal.

Seeds that are swallowed get digested like anything else. Anyway, if you feel ill, seek medical attention instead of posting on a message board.

Stop being a smartass, I already taught you about trees growing inside lungs, now don't tell me what to do. I wont go to the hospital at this late hour or call emergency for a freaking seed in my throat.

LOL maybe the 'other' seed can help wash down the stuck seed.

David, do you have a WaterPik? Sometimes put on the lowest setting it can dislodge particles, but you have to be very careful because if on low it can hurt delicate throat tissue.

David: The seed is likely gone down your stomach already. What you feel is the scaring of the throat left by the seed. IT will feel smooth again.

The video I showed you proved otherwise. Now you pray I don't die or you will be indirectly responsible for that.

Pull some clean water through your nose, and do a nasal rinse. Also try to gargle and just drink a lot of water as you swallow hard. I know sounds weird, but it worked for me. My dad was a "Sunkist" Citrus farmer/grower years ago! Also, try coughing really hard. Sorta like when you're coaking on something and coughing helped it to dislodge.
    Good Luck.

    My first thought was:

"oh shit, this guy is totally going to die"

After reading the posts, i realise all the other posters for the most part were trying to hide that fact from you, to spare your final hours from too much torment.

I realised you googled some other folks this happened to, but you were probably reading old articles from two or three or four years ago before the spread of all these GMO seeds, they are tougher.

Your best bet, sadly, is to google how long it takes for an orange tree to go....and start planning the rest of your short life accordingly.

Hey, look on the brightside....atleast you won't die of scurvey.
