Doctor9 saidClown politician? Really? He's been in power for less than a month, and has already fixed some of the abject disasters the previous government left us with.
Let's see - abolishing the long-form census, thus depriving people of *real* data regarding the population (because, as all conservatives know, it's so much better to rule by ideology than by actual data-supported decisions).
He actually put a *scientist* in the position of Minister of Science, and not a creationist who was unsure whether evolution should be taught in schools.
He at least *stated* he would look into the TPP and consult with the population (not sure if it will happen, but Harper never consulted anybody, being convinced he was always right)
He has ordered the Ministry of Finance to stop their "politically motivated" audits which Harper asked for on the basis that certain charities were fighting against some of his more bone-headed decisions and were "too involved in politics" while the *conservative* charities that were fighting *for* his decisions were all "perfectly fine".
Suffice it to say, I'm hoping Canadians don't fall in to the trap the USA seems to have fallen into, where a person's personal opinion of the *elected* leader lets them think they avoid respecting the *office*. Some comments I have read over the past 8 years about Obama are *horrendous* - like him or not he is the *President of the United States*, and owed the respect earned by that position.
Politicians come, and politicians go, I've seen very few who have ever successfully destroyed a country in their couple of terms in office.
