I bet he gets all three approved. All sensible. All lead to a more constructive society. I cannot understand why so many Americans prefer to waste billions fighting weed, advocate for theocracy and love death by gun. It is totally irrational.

Clown policies from a clown politician.

What does that self-hating cuckold mean by "renounce religion"? Will he stop Canadian schools from buying hijabs to muslim girls? Of course he won't, whenever a liberal says anything negative about "religion", it's an actual codeword for "Christianity", all other religions are welcome. icon_wink.gif

Clown politician? Really? He's been in power for less than a month, and has already fixed some of the abject disasters the previous government left us with.

You want a clown politican? How about G.W.Bush, whose favorite childhood book was The Very Hungry Caterpillar - except this book came out when he was in university, so can't say much about his reading skills.

Besides, the Unilad site is a somewhat spoof site - they tend to take real news and "adjust" it a bit. The Hells Angels would never complain about job losses...

Try reading the article before mouthing off ignorantly. He's proposing that certain mandated oaths of loyalty be stripped of relgious references. I'm so sick of you right wingers acting like victims if you're not allowed to impose your bullshit on everyone else.

Let's see - abolishing the long-form census, thus depriving people of *real* data regarding the population (because, as all conservatives know, it's so much better to rule by ideology than by actual data-supported decisions).

He actually put a *scientist* in the position of Minister of Science, and not a creationist who was unsure whether evolution should be taught in schools.

He at least *stated* he would look into the TPP and consult with the population (not sure if it will happen, but Harper never consulted anybody, being convinced he was always right)

He has ordered the Ministry of Finance to stop their "politically motivated" audits which Harper asked for on the basis that certain charities were fighting against some of his more bone-headed decisions and were "too involved in politics" while the *conservative* charities that were fighting *for* his decisions were all "perfectly fine".

Suffice it to say, I'm hoping Canadians don't fall in to the trap the USA seems to have fallen into, where a person's personal opinion of the *elected* leader lets them think they avoid respecting the *office*. Some comments I have read over the past 8 years about Obama are *horrendous* - like him or not he is the *President of the United States*, and owed the respect earned by that position.

Politicians come, and politicians go, I've seen very few who have ever successfully destroyed a country in their couple of terms in office.

Whatever happens across the Niagara River from me is none of my damn business. Despite the strong US influence, Canada has always given me the impression as a more progressive, somewhat more socialist, more peaceful stable country.

Here are two more: Quiet Riot. And I don't mean the group.
