Cultural appropriation by McDonald's

So after a workout, three McD cheeseburgers isn't a bad choice. 45 grams protein total, 900 calories. The bread makes for fast carbs.

Pretty much perfect for building muscle. And at about $3 (+ tax, natch) the price is right.

I won't source this (looks like it's from McDonald's itself), but Bodybuilding dot com had this chart (right-click on it and View Image to see full chart):

Each sandwich has 15 grams of protein. But the sodium, cholesterol, sugar AND carbs along with the fat are a little high, don't you think?

This probably isn't your usual meal, so I'm not concerned about you health wise. Still, your physique is (objectively) just a little above average. You'd do yourself better favors if you chose your after-workout meal a little better. Those bun carbs alone are ridiculously refined & processed, like pouring a sugar packet in your mouth.

Yep you caught me. I like to get on my knees and pray to the bicycle gods that I don't fall down on the next ride. icon_razz.gif

    It's garbage!

You should try my High protein berry smoothie. Rich in antioxidants that everyone over 40 should take.

Word to the wise.....after 40 ALL and everything you eat should be 100% nutritious!!

I make fruit and veggie shakes every morning for breakfast. I colour coordinate them- blueberries, beets, acai juice or kiwi, spinach, pineapple, oj or strawberry, cranberry, carrot. I add Greek yogurt for protein. Variety is the spice of life! I get four or five servings of fruits/veggies plus 20 grams of protein. I personally hate processed foods and try to eat as much real food as possible. Protein powders are ok, but I'd rather do yoghurt and kefir. Since they're fermented there is little to know lactose left so they're easy to digest.
