Hey all! I'm a 58 year old gay man in recovery and attend AA meetings several times a week. I am clean over two and a half years now. When I drank I hooked up. Now I do neither. Any other guys in recovery on here? Thanks

That is true, you are correct. I just assume people are as open about recovery as I am lol. Thanks for reminding me of that, I would not want to ouch anyone in recovery who does not want to be. Thanks again

I wasn't being mean, just snarky. You're smart enough to intuit how someone might know the traditions.

Congrats. I had the opportunity to attend an awards ceremony for a friend who past the five year mark. The AA folk were remarkable.

I'm grateful for my recovery, specially to God... My higher power. It's been a good two and a half years clean even despite the rough patches. If you are out there and you need help, talk to someone . look into aa and check out smartrecovery. Org
