It's anti-Italian not to like opera, and you clearly hate Germans if you don't like Beethoven.

It could be, it depends on why you don't like hip hop....

Weirdly enough i was thinking about this, seriously, the other day....It came in response to the idea that i seriously dislike it that so many MMA fighters come out, there walkout music, to hip hop. To me, it's odd to see 34 year old white men walk to the cage listening to rap.

Anyways, i personally came to the conclusion that i view it as immature. Something about a guy bragging about how great he is, is not appealing in anyway intellectually to me at all....i suppose that not all rap is like this but that's the images you see and the ones all the mainstream rap icons except maybe Naz, who isn't really mainstream, display. It's all people on yachts or people flying to their yachts....and i am sorry, past a certain point i cannot take that seriously.

There are good rap songs, even Eminem has a few, that aren't all about money and hoes, but that just seems to be what is broadly understood about rap, and portrayed by rap.

It's like "reality t.v." being a deragatory word to most.....a lot of reality t.v. is kardashians and that type of garbage, but i am sure there are a few reality t.v. shows that are infact totally different and possibly a lot closer to reality. But that's not what springs to mind when you hear "i love reality t.v. shows" come from someone's lips....

So, i guess, am i racist because i view rap as immature? Or am i immature because i view rap as immature?

I guess that depends on who you ask, or what time of day you ask me.

    Urban Dictionary
    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Hip+Hop

"Today Hip-Hop is considered to be dead in the mainstream because so-called mainstream Hip-Hop doesn't have the elements of hip-hop and have no meaning.
The stuff on MTV and the radio can't be called Hip-Hop because the lyrics don't have any meaning or self expression. Wack artists today just rap about their shopping lists and other bullshit."

No, not in the slightest. I mean, I'm black and I don't even like rap/hip-hop (I can only tolerate the ones from the 80s lol). But seriously, music doesn't dictate your views on race.

Now, if you said something like "Hip Hop is for stupid black people", then yes, that does come off as racist lol.

Um... the first rapper to be any good was a white blonde woman,

so it is cultural misappropriation for all the black people to be stealing her "culture" and they should all stop immediately and apologize. As well as pull their damn pants up. I mean really, time for a new fashion to develop around that culture. It has been almost 30 years of that crap.

Of course I have to look up what a "reparations protest" is... and WTF. Turns out blackfootsoldiers (their stuff below) is the work of white supremacists trying to incite disgust with blacks.

as a white person, maybe im not the one who should give an answer, but no, I dont think it would be racist to dislike hip-hop. I mean eminem, Macklemore, Iggy Izalea, Vanilla are all "hip hop" and I don't like any of them. . Am i racist? No.

Hip-hop is no longer exclusively an african-american thing. it's crossed over. there's white, asian, arab, muslim, hispanic rappers now too.
