If you were lost in St Augustine FL, where would you go? If you're a local there, where are some cool places to chill till someone comes to get you?

Um... isn't The Fountain of Youth supposed to be hidden in the bushes just out of town? Probably any local could show you for a few bucks...

There's an extension of the Columbia restaurant there that is very authentic Cuban out of Ybor City. Get the black beans and rice and a protein. Do it even if breakfast.

Oh, and the fort is very cool. Ancient history. And old town for the archtecture.

I would like to hide in Henry Flagler's crypt in Flagler Memorial Presbyterian Church, but no one would come looking for me. The crypt is covered by a locked gate but once you get inside it is spectacular.

The checker boards on the town square would be a better place to be found.

PS: Cuban black bean soup needs only a small loaf of Cuban bread and butter to complete. Used to get it in Ybor City. Big bowl of rice, covered with black beans and then covered again with diced onions. I know, lotso starch but damned near food heaven. You have to try it to believe it.

DestinHarbor is spot on.. The Columbia is a great restaurant!! The 1905 salad is *amazing*!
The tour of Flagler college is interesting also, as is the Lightner museum..
Beyond that, just walking around Old Town is a great experience if you are a history buff.
