Thank god all this is finally getting onto mainstream news, Obama, the Bush's and the Clintons should go to prison for all this, The CIA trained ISIS and Al qaeda, the people responsible should be prosecuted, keep spreading the good out there people, we will win.

Politics in that part of the world are exceedingly complicated and outcomes are impossible to predict. Obviously U.S. policy was sometimes mistaken, but the only way to avoid mistakes is to do nothing and that is also a mistake for which policy makers would be criticized.

Some of the mistakes should not have occurred, including the invasion of Iraq. But with constantly shifting alliances, it is impossible to know which side will win and what they will do if they do win. In some cases if we had done what the critics say we should have done that would also have been a mistake which the critics would also have attacked.

It is easy to stand back and attack and criticize, but much harder to do what is helpful.

it would be helpful if people who are interested in making accusations knew a little bit more about the history

there was a book written detailing the history of how the problems in iraq developed called the threatening storm - written by kenneth pollack

quite informative and a good primer into the history of iraq - the whole world was involved in this thing in one way or another

at the end of the day i concluded this would have happened one way or the other - it was just a matter of time

    Dear plebs,

We don’t want your peace, we want the profits from wars, without them we would not be able to buy the protection we need to beat you when you start getting hostile. Its not that we don’t like your work, we just don’t like you as individuals, we don’t care for your creativity and procreation. If we need more slaves, we will breed them like cattle.

We don’t want to stop the drug war, because our pharmaceutical companies would no longer be able to monopolize patents, in order to maximize profits. Or see people of the World healthy, we just need them, able and ready, to do what ever we tell them to do.

We don’t want to stop our propaganda, and maintaining monopolies on every mainstream source of information. We want to be able to delete any unwanted comments or suggestions, with no trace, and no backfire whatsoever. We don’t want equality, we prefer greed, and we don’t care what you think. We only care about misleading you and your dreams.

We want to keep controling banks so that we can corrupt anyone who needs to be corrupted, without this we would be much weaker. We also want to control the wealth of every nation, as well as their resources, and if they say no… we will attack them, murder coldly, and reap the profits, with parties in golden rooms.

We don’t want equality, we prefer that you work for us, so that we may enjoy life, while you enjoy debt and all of the hardships of extreme capitalism. We will continue to press you like oranges, until the day that we master you eternally. We need the money, and we need most of it, in order for you to be sustainable for us. We don’t want a world of joyous equality, where there are no leaders, no losers, or winners, just people who have found the way of living as one, with every possibility to move forward…no, this we don’t want.

    Best the rich

Since in the late 1980s, I grew up knowing what happen in Iraq as a kid. I was raised during that period where my dad turn on the news every time he comes home from work. In 1989 I was terrifying that there will be a big war in the Middle East. It was like a nightmare. Middle East now got uglier because we (Our American troops) went to war against Iraq and other Arab countries.

I blame Bush family for this.

Yeah I guess if we allowed Saadam to slaughter Kuwait then go to Saudi Arabia we maybe a richer country. Who knows.

The first Gulf war was justified and possibly not pushed to its logical conclusion of removing Saadam.

As for ISIS, I blame this President and his pro Islamist leanings.

He still believes its no big deal. And as for "creating Isis" the Muslim brotherhood and supporters of the Caliphate always have existed.

Your not going to win the argument Sam27 by trying to pretend someone turned these people into Savages......

The last two terrorists never even set foot in Iraq.
And the middle east had been burning for some time.
