Do you keep many private photos on your smartphone and many of them unclothed or semi-revealing?
Germany's highest court has ordered a man to destroy intimate photos and videos of his ex-partner because they violate her right to privacy.
The Federal Court said the man, a photographer, should no longer possess naked photos and sex tapes, even if he had no intention of sharing them.

Would it be obvious that people with smartphones will have private pics that they would not share?

Nope. We are all only human, and the phone can be lost or misplaced. Sure there is a password protection, but some people will always find their way around such obstacles, won't they?

So, you want to be smart about this and reduce all the unnecessary risk exposure. There are better places to keep such pixicon_biggrin.gif

I wrote some time ago, that I found "the cloud". That mysterious storage place somehow connected to your phone.

Each carrier, not nessasarly the phone brand, has its own cloud storage. When you take pictures or video with your phone, or even upload them from your PC's hard drive onto your phone, a "copy" gets sent to the carriers cloud storage server, which must be just huge by now.

Not sure why? But I believe this is how the celebrity nude photo hacking happened, once you know how to access your carriers cloud storage. Even using the phone apps, your nude pictures are not safe from others searching the cloud using your smart phone. I would suggest leaving your nude pictures off of your phone, period. As this story indicates, hackers got user names/passwords. This IS NOT true. Anyone can access, their carriers cloud storage if you know how.
