Would you date a short guy between 5'4" to 5'6" and why or why not?

Of course. My guy's 5'7". Fit and lean is what matters to me, not height.

To be honest it would be difficult for me unless he was very muscular. Short AND petite just doesn't do it for me.

I'm 6'4 and I ONLY like short petite skinny guys.
    It's all about the contrast!
This guy is 5'4 I think.

Of course I would, since I'm 5'6" myself.
    Would you?
Your profile shows you at 5'7" so I'm kinda curious about why you're asking if guys would be interested in someone just slightly shorter than you are... icon_confused.gif

I prefer either really short guys or tall guys but its a very unimportant preference that would never lead to me turning a guy down.

I'm 5'8", so it's a rare treat to find someone my height or shorter. Tall guys areā€¦ surprisingly gentle and nice, is what I've discovered.

Depends on the guy. I'm 5'8 and have dated from 5'4 to 6'3.
I did feel a bit weird with the 6'3 guy but I got over it.
I think different heights have different qualities but chemistry trumps height for me.

    5'4-5'6?

I think he would have to be the twinky type or atleast a slim swimmer kind of build. I don't think i could date a little square block of muscle at that size.

It's hard, i find...all my girlfriends ever were short, except one who was almost 6 ft and it was a fucking dream. Holding hands, kissing, putting my arm around her, dancing, it was all so much more practical.

I was into a guy who was 5'8, and that seemed pretty small but doable? (do able?) I would really have to be having some daddy type fantasies going on, if he was shorter than that.

I would, perhaps the fact that I am short myself. I'm 5'6, 5'6.5 on a good day. icon_smile.gif

I'm 5'7. I feel like women are more obsessed with height than men are.

I am 5'7 and considered short, so yes to me its mainly chemistry and that you have things in common. I do also like tall guys.

Current BF Chris is 5'6" and 145 lbs. Really excellent all around natural athlete. I adore him. He can jack a softball or golf ball a mile. Plays volleyball and soccer too. The "big dudes" on his teams or we golf with aren't any better on the long ball or straight shots.

Unfortunately he is sensitive about not being avg. size or bigger. His brothers and Dad are 6'+. Wonder if his Mom and the milkman had a thing going(?) lol

He and his family are way into horses. Talk about horses all the time (Kentucky kid). I had a picture on my desk of him he hated so much I agreed to put it away. It's Chris standing next to/holding my neighbors Percheron mare (BIG black draft horse). Although he looks like a total stud (wears a mean pair of Wranglers) in control of that horse he looks sooooo tiny. So do I for that matter standing next to that monster of a horse.

Never gave height a ton of thought although back in my 20's and early 30's I had an LTR w/a dude 6'10" (left me for the straight world) and 6'8" (on the DL). Lotsa real estate to cover w/those big fellas icon_biggrin.gif so that is fun too. I don't recommend getting serious with guys who as it plays out aren't secure w/their orientation though.

I would! However most guys I meet are around my height or taller, ergo I don't meet many short guys.

I'm a tall guy. I've always liked well-built short guys (I prefer to call 'em "cadet size"); skinny and wispy, not so much. I like the way they look, I like the way they walk, I even like the chip-on-the-shoulder attitude they often have. Also, they're easier to throw over my shoulder to carry off.

I am one of those guys and still would! Very, very rare to run into one built like me though. But, tall with lean or thick muscle and short and all in between with the same build is attractive to me. I do tend to favor the two extremes by default, but hey, there're always exceptions, often.

I don't care about height, although all the guys I've been on relationships with were between 6'1" and 6'4"

    My last relationship was 5'11"

I'm about 5'10" but apparently that makes me too short for a lot go guys dating preference. All the guys in my area want that tall muscular body builder look with a beard and long hair(a Portland thing really), so I don't seem to fit the bill for what most guys in my area want for a relationship.

I will say that straight guys and straight women seem to have a harder time finding relationships or lasting partnerships because height difference is a big deal to them.

I suppose it can be for the gay community as well because gay guys always idolize what kind of boyfriend they want(like shopping)

I don't mind a shorter guy, as I have had relationships with some, and a few with taller guys as well, so I really don't mind.

My height seems to be an issue, and I still can't figure out why. icon_sad.gif

    Happy hunting. icon_smile.gif

Yes, I have. It's the personality and purpose they have that's valuable to me, not the height.

I'm 5'4". I had a relationship with my 5'11" friend for 10 years and his height in relation to mine was perfect for spooning.

I've also had a half year relationship with another friend exactly the same size and build as mine. We didn't spoon well at all. But I loved him more for so many things we had in common. And things we would enjoy that the taller man didn't.

Higher Social status is part of being Tall versus Short. (Pun unintended)

The 1st guy was a top whose back side was more beautiful to me then his front side. He let me in for about a few seconds two times in 10 years. And my other friend became a top while married to a dark skin lover bottom , he divorced. We considered getting back together but didn't due to the topping issue. I'm versatile, there's only so much unreciprocated topping a versatile guy can take.

And yes short men do top tall men.
