Topic says it all. I'm not a gym/weight training newbie but need some direction, motivation, and inspiration as I continue to lose weight and gain muscle. Want to develop a gym addiction.

HMU if you are a gay or gay-friendly trainer or know a good one in the Austin metro area who wants a new client.

Good luck with that because when I lived in Austin, most of the personal trainers were right wing Christians.icon_neutral.gif

I used to go to the 24-Hour on Braker, where an awesome trainer named Nicole works. I secretly call her Nurse Jackie (not because of addiction, but because of her no-nonsense demeanor & short blonde hair). She's great with clients. Or, are you looking for exclusively male?

...because there's a married couple--gay--who do training not far from you.

You might look for a trainer at the golds in downtown, the trainers there are pretty cool

No mental illness issues here, I am just stating the facts. You Austin folks hate the truth because it exposes all the positive press about Austin as sheer hyperbole.

I've sworn off the 24 Hour Fitness franchise due to a bad trainer experience there (also they are really annoying about upsells, at least they were when I went there).

Would prefer male though. I had a female trainer once when I was at Gold's and it was kinda fun to watch the other guys cruising her but she had some limitations.

Downtown Gold's - I'll check it out but traffic in and out and parking could be an issue, depending on when I go.

Pass me the info on the couple via private message, if you don't mind?

That will most likely be the only welcome he will ever receive in Austin. After that everyone will be arrogant and have their noses in the air, even in the gym. However, the positive side is that you will focus more intensely on your workout routine and get serious results which is the number one reason for going to the gym in the first place. icon_wink.gif

I see someone mentioned you going to pure at one point, I have an acquaintance that is a trainer at the downtown location.
