I never gave them much thought before but recently been thinking about eyebrow shape. When I compare with other men, my eyebrows are short, now. My eyebrows don't extend the entire length of my eyes, toward the nose and end of the eye like most guys, I have a high brow anyway which tends to arch my brow, I don't want this arch, especially depicted in this video

I am losing my eyebrow hair from the ends, I assume due to the same reason my hairline recedes or from my genetic KP, I also have thin or missing eye lashes. I am going to start shaping my brows, flat across. There is not much I can do about the hair loss, except transplants icon_confused.gif

I don't know about rapid brow, but I know for sure (since several family members use it with good results, lol) that Revitabrow Advanced Eyebrow Conditioner works. Their eyelash product also works well.

OK, 2 responses. First, eyebrows naturally thin with age. When I was a kid I basically had a jet black unibrow. I had to pluck the area over the bridge of my nose to create 2 separate eyebrows.

I know, yuck. Don't need to do that today, that hair is gone. But my eyebrows will still grow long, and I use my beard-mustache trimmer to keep them under control. I do my husband's, too. I think it's some of my Slavic genes coming out, and his Italian.

Second, about a mascara type of brush, a kind of secret: I sometimes use one on my mustache! Problem is, my mustache has gone half white, but unevenly, and looks strange. I don't wanna dye it, too much trouble, and then the white roots start to show in a couple of days.

I bought some dark brown mascara, which comes with the perfect-sized brush for the job, and I put it on the mustache. Too dark at first, I then wipe it repeatedly with a paper towel, until some white starts showing, but still darker than it was. The appearance is natural, and the mustache looks much better, its appearance more evenly shaped.

Of course the mascara washes out when I shower, and depending on where I'm going and what I'll be doing next day, I may or may not use the mascara again. But a lot easier than a dye job, and I think a lot better looking.

Wait, what? I thought eyebrows were one of those weird places where hair goes crazy when you get old. I'm getting Gandalf eyebrows. Seriously, it gets long enough that a stray one starts poking me in the eye, and I buzz them off.

Hell, if you're going to paint them, may as well go with a rainbow pattern and glue a few rhinestones in there too... icon_confused.gif

Oh, Oh, LED eyebrow implants. They'll be, like, headlights man!

Well, I better start taking care of them now, eyebrows are an important part of the face, especially on men. As I said already, I never really paid attention to this detail before, and wow, it really makes a difference. Without them there is a look of creepiness. My eyebrow loss of hair might have a little to do with age, but in my case, probably more about genetics

There is a prescription medication that my old roommate used that that grows your eyebrows in thicker, & longer. It is called Latissee, & while it is prescribed for eyelashes, it also works, & is prescribed off label for eyebrows. There's no definitive proof if it works for hair on the head as this is different types, but even if it does the problem is the prescription is expensive ( last he told me, & not this year I believe it was close to $200 for a very small bottle about the size of a visible bottle. While it was noticeable on him, I do remember he said if he stopped for awhile then eventually the hair returns to how it was. Hope this is helpful.

I've done a lot of acting and I can tell you they usually thicken up eyebrows, not with mascara but with an eyebrow pencil. (I guess they're called that for a reason.) I never liked the way they did my makeup so I did my own beforehand. If they like the way you look during "Last Looks" they won't fuck with you. All you do is just lightly color the skin underneath the hair with the appropriate color pencil. You can't really see it because the hair covers most of it. A little bit a mustache wax on the hair itself and it's a huge difference.

According to Radd, real men don't groom their eyebrows.... Radd did have a nose job to make himself prettier, but it doesn't count/didn't work.

This can be an issue that is more than cosmetic. There can be medical reasons that account for loss of the eyebrows. I lost 50% of my eyebrows and was then diagnosed with hypothyroidism. This is. apparently a common symptom. They have not grown back on thyroid replacement hormone.

My eyebrows thinned during my cancer treatment. Now have come back a bit, but not like they were. Could also just be overall age, too, as I suspect.

Interesting, an underactive thyroid. I have had known problems with pituitary in my youth, late puberty and then a hyperthyroidism most of my adult life. I don't know, is it possible to go from one extreme to the other? Hereditary? My younger sister lost her thyroid (removed), due to goiter a few years ago, cause is Lyme Disease. She is only 48 years old and has to take thyroid hormone meds for the rest of her life. My last full blood work panel was a few years ago and I had no problem with thyroid then, my eyebrow hair has gradually disappeared, not at once

But yeah, I should get a new panel check for this........

    Hypothyroidism requires a medical diagnosis
Major symptoms include fatigue, cold sensitivity, constipation, dry skin, and unexplained weight gain.
Can have no symptoms, but people may experience:
Whole body: fatigue, inability to exercise, lethargy, weakness, or feeling cold
Gastrointestinal: constipation, passing excessive amounts of gas, or water retention
Developmental: delayed puberty or slow growth
    Muscular: cramping or muscle weakness
    Mood: mood swings or sadness
    Hair: hair loss or dryness
Also common: brittle nails, cold feet and hands, depression, dry skin, enlarged thyroid, high cholesterol, hoarseness, irritability, mental confusion, pallor, puffy eyes, sensitivity to cold, sexual dysfunction, sleepiness, slow heart rate, sluggishness, swelling, weight gain, or irregular uterine bleeding

My eyebrows grow like wildfire. In fact my whole body grows hair like mad as I age. Except for my head. icon_sad.gif I think the hair loss on my head is going to my eyebrows and back.. LOL.. I try to keep it all neat and somewhat contained.

Why does Radd constantly like to make other men feel like they don't measure up to his ideal of masculinity? Meanwhile, he won't confirm or deny his nose job.

This is one of the common occurrences of male aging. We often lose hair where we want to keep it, and acquire hair in unwelcome places where we never had it before.

Except my once bushy eyebrows have been exempt from that general rule. They've thinned a lot, just a few hairs remain very long and need trimming.
