There is absolutely nothing to do in Las Vegas. Unless you just enjoy the sheer horror of watching zombies staggering around.

Gamble your money away, that's what you're supposed to do.

Edit: You can always go to some show of yet another entertainment industry / celebrity has-been. My brother lives there and he was telling me how the only acts that play in Vegas are people who are no longer on the A list, just the B, C, and D list people. I wonder if Donnie and Marie Osmond are still performing there?

Even the games that you'd think would be fair are not:

I'm surprised the guy doing that blog is still alive (i.e., that the mob hasn't bumped him off yet).

Lots of drunk people on the strip, not to mention, others who might try to run you over with a car. That happened a few weeks ago by a #blacklivesmatter wannabe. I am sure she wanted to be manhandled by a cop. She's a real loser.

Hmm, not very helpful advice so far.

Here are a couple links to the major gay NYE events being touted:

    at Share nightclub
    https://www.facebook.com/events/191245261215344
    http://www.sharenightclub.com/nye/

    and at the Tropicana
    http://evolvevegasnye.com/

Take your pick, depending on your personal taste.

Aside from those special events, the everyday gay scene in Las Vegas is pretty disappointing. You're probably better off at the straight bars (and may have a better chance of scoring a hot guy - remember, "What happens in Vegas...").

The Strip is shut down to traffic on NYE and that may sound like a big party but it's really pretty dreary; the people out there will be the ones who can't afford the entry at a club - trailer park city!!!

On a regular night I like to spend some time at the Margaritaville bar (at the Flamingo). It's one of the very few places on the Strip with an outside deck where you can sit with a drink and watch the parade of humanity go by.

And be sure to stop by Caesar's Palace. It's a classic old school top-end casino, perfectly grandiose and cheesy.

There's not a lot to do in Vegas - especially in winter. Bro4Bro mentioned the club options, otherwise be prepared to be bored.

Hah good to know - thanks everyone!

Share looks like a fun time, i'll have to give it a try!

The deck to people watch sounds perfect because I can only imagine the people we'll be seeing!

there is plenty to do in vegas...
its not so death and boring as most replies make it sound..

For a fact, there will be 9 major fireworks shows.. on NYE.
Nicki Minaj Performs at Drais Nightclub..

And funny that somebody mentioned that only people perform in vegas who doesn't matter any more..

Then weird. if in MGM grand one of the world biggest dj's spins often..
    called TIESTO.

And that admin v buren is performing here also on regular base..

And other world famous djs.. Also musical wise..
We have celine dion, britney and of course JLO will be here in januari..

There is plenty to do in vegas. besides the gambling and lame shows..
because like every city, there are lame shows every where..

Always like to treat myself to a little spa time while I'm in Vegas - day use passes at Cesar's, Venetian, or Wynn. My favorite is at Mandalay but you have to be a guest to use that one now.

Might as well grab a Circ show while you're there too. Take your pick...I did discount tickets and that worked out well.
