Donald Trump’s Strongest Supporters: A Certain Kind of Democrat

Perhaps above all else, the data shows that Mr. Trump has broad support in the G.O.P., spanning all major demographic groups. He leads among Republican women and among people in well-educated and affluent areas. He even holds a nominal lead among Republican respondents that Civis estimated are Hispanic, based on their names and where they live

    Exactly!

Donald Trump is the leader who will bring together the diversity of our great nation. When he says "Make America Great Again" that includes everybody. In the end, we all want the same things. A safe community, good family life and an increasing standard of living.

What a fucking crock of shit.

Dude, your own cited article states:

He is strongest among Republicans who are less affluent, less educated and less likely to turn out to vote. His very best voters are self-identified Republicans who nonetheless are registered as Democrats.

Last time I checked the statistics Mr. Anti. There are a lot of undereducated, blue collar workers (who are democrats also) and from my read it suggests they like Trump.

Oh, tell me why ru in stealth mode? Afraid that I can't see your hog wash!! LOL

Trump made his millions & billions somehow. Likely he is shrewd cunning, smart and diligent. Un-likely brash, hostile; like his supporters want to see him. So where is the real Donald Trump?

    Fallout:
just keep in mind like valued people will associate with a president Trump for the next 4 - 8 years.

Again, the article you cite states: "self-identified Republicans who nonetheless are registered as Democrats".

Not unlike a craigslist "str8" guy who sucks dick and takes cock up his ass. Not such a "Democrat" after all.

So the hogwash is yours!! LOL

A better change is what we need without lies, deception to the American People. Obama lied about the health care plan. Pushed it through with lies.....even to the point of saying we are to stupid to get it.

    Hope, never transpired.

    http://www.salon.com/2013/11/15/no_obama_didnt_lie_to_you_about_your_health_care_plan_partner/
the ACA grand-fathered all the individual policies that were in place at the time the law was enacted. This means that the plans in effect at the time that President Obama was pushing the bill could still be offered even if they did not meet all the standards laid out in the ACA.

The plans being terminated because they don’t meet the minimal standards were all plans that insurers introduced after the passage of the ACA. Insurers introduced these plans knowing that they would not meet the standards that would come into effect in 2014. Insurers may not have informed their clients at the time they sold these plans that they would not be available after 2014 because they had designed a plan that did not comply with the ACA.

However if the insurers didn’t tell their clients that the new plans would only be available for a short period of time, the blame would seem to rest with the insurance companies, not the ACA. After all, President Obama did not promise people that he would keep insurers from developing new plans but that will not comply with the provisions of the ACA.

So should the government have been watching the insurance companies closer while it was making its promises, I think so, but I'm a Democrat with less issues about protecting consumers. Though wouldn't that then be interfering with the free market. So if you are arguing that the government should have stopped insurance companies from creating policies (legit at the time but) which would not later comply and then dropping those policies, are you still arguing from a Republican point of view?

Donald Trump Biography from the BBC in 2010.

Fun Fact 1: He was 29 years old and never built a building....but told people he's going to be NYC's biggest name in real estate development. It happened.

Fun Fact 2: The initiation fee at one of his many golf courses is $300,000. There's a waiting list to get in.

I just got back from NYC and walking around there you notice just how many of Trump's buildings are named for himself (i.e. nearly all of them) - so tacky. The guy is obviously a total megalomaniac, which is not such a terrible trait in a property developer - but in a POTUS? (Hitler springs to mind)

So I suppose you think it's meglomaniac when people drive around in cars with names of their founders on them, such as Ford, Porsche, Honda, Toyota, Cadillac, Benz, Maybach, Dodge, Chrysler....or stores, Neiman Marcus, Lord & Taylor, Macy's, Marshall Fields, Sears...or products Disney, Ben & Jerry's, Dell, etc.

It's called branding. But more likely, you sound jealous of people who are successful at capitalism.

There is a difference between branding the company's products (or HQ building, factory, company offices or shops) with the company name and a property developer naming every building he erects after himself (usually with huge lettering on the front of the building) - very tacky and not a feature of most other residential buildings in NYC. Of course you don't think he's a megalomaniac - you're one of his dozy supporters.

I've no problem with capitalism. I don't even have a great problem with Donald Trump. I do have a problem with a loud mouthed, self-absorbed clown becoming leader of the free world and so should anyone with more than half a brain. Thankfully, it will never come to that.

Odd you use megliamanic.....because it perfectly fits Hillary Clinton, who never accomplished anything, but thinks she can be president. If you support that dullard Hillary, the only dozy supporter on here....is you.

Get with the business side of things and stop being a retard (not tacky). Trump is a brand and he made it very successful. He lives in a Mansion, not a barn! Many investment bankers and Real Estate mongols name their Companies/properties after themselves.

    Hello, its says:

He is strongest among Republicans who are less affluent, less educated and less likely to turn out to vote. His very best voters are self-identified Republicans who nonetheless are registered as Democrats. It’s a coalition that’s concentrated in the South, Appalachia and the industrial North, according to data provided to The Upshot by Civis Analytics, a Democratic data firm.

How many dam times do I have to say this. These people are the Reagan Democrats (north) and Dixiecrats (south),
all tea- party- people (I just call them, the Ted Nugent crowd)

My house looks more tasteful than anything Trump ever built. Trump's buildings are tacky and so is he. Funnily enough, his followers tend to be tacky trailer trash types too. Even some of the people who choose to live in his buildings think he's tacky:

Trump ousted as manager at Trump Place building
The Trump Organization has been ousted as manager at a Trump Place building, sources told The Real Deal. The condominium board at 120 Riverside Boulevard has quietly replaced Trump with AKAM Living Services, sources said.
    http://therealdeal.com/blog/2012/10/22/trump-ousted-as-manager-at-trump-place-building/

I'm surprised he's so anti-Muslim, because he seems to have embraced the Saudi Arabian interior design look (circa 1985).

You generally have no idea what you're talking about re anything. You are very good at uninformed, negative and poorly constructed one-liners though.

More tacky building stuff from megalomaniac Trump:

Donald Trump Is Putting His Name In Enormous Letters On The Side Of Trump Hotel & Tower, Says It's Going To Be Chicago's Version Of The Hollywood Sign

When I informed Donald Trump on Thursday that I would not be writing a rave review of the ginormous sign workers are installing on his Chicago skyscraper, he had a ready reply. “As time passes, it’ll be like the Hollywood sign,” he said, referring to the beloved symbol of the U.S. movie industry.

    Ex_Mil8 said.....megalomaniac....

Did you say megalomaniac again? Hillary Clinton is THE megalomaniac....a.k.a. a dolt with no achievements who thinks the opposite.

    Her record...

    1. Zero noteable accomplishments in over 30 years.
    2. Responsible for 4 people. Ignored their pleas for help, and so they died. Now she wants responsibility for 300 million people.
    3. When asked questions, she laughs or says "I don't remember."
    4. Married to Bill Clinton is the only reason she's able to run for president.
    5. Goes by "Hillary" to be like Oprah or Madonna or Cher, except those women are self-made.

    Yes, total megalomaniac.

An oldie, but a goodie that shows she forgets everything.....
