RIP. I was a fan of hers growing up as a child during the 90's with two parents who also grew up with her music during their own childhoods. She was the same age as my father and I am really stunned by this

God bless her soul. RIP Natalie Cole

I saw her when she was first rising to stardom at Ontario Place in Toronto in the early 70ies. I had a major crush on her back then. My sympathies...

The first time I saw her was at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, right after all the Grammys for Unforgettable - she was magical, an uncommon talent and she will be missed.

Wow! Love this song! This was the song that introduced me to Natalie Cole in the summer of '88 -- at a time that I was really getting into music (buying cassettes, following the charts, etc.). A lot of great songs were popular that year: Sweet Child O' Mine [Guns N Roses]; "One More Try" [George Michael]; "Fast Car" [Tracy Chapman]; and "Pour Some Sugar on Me" [Def Leppard], to name a few.

Love is soft, love is sweet, love is nice, love is gentle, love is joy, love is pain, love is laughter in the rain, I've got love on my mind, love is always right on time, love is you, love is me, love is just a little baby, I've got love on my mind love is always right on time, love is you, love is me love is gonna set you freeeeeee!

    LOOOOVE that song!!

    Another legend gone...

Can't believe she's gone, I was so hurt when I read about it in the news. She has a beautiful ballad called " Say You Love" from her album " Snow Falls On The Sahara" makes you want cry and be in love. She was a true gift to us.

MuchMoreThanMuscle said...Wow, she died pretty young. Didn't her father live longer?

No, her Father Nat King Cole died aged 45.

Ms. Cole possessed an amazing talent. Soul, pop, she poured her entire being into her music. My favorite is the arranged duet of "Unforgettable" sung by her and her late father, Nat. Nat King Cole was one of my dad's favorite artists. I remember hearing my dad play his records. "Unforgettable" and "Ramblin' Rose", are the most memorable songs for me. Rest peacefully Ms. Natalie.
