Ya know, I have never had any interest in guns, I don't see the 'excitement' or need over them except when used in movies, games or in my case, used for sport target like skeet shooting. Its like feeling 'left out' of the cool kid club if you don't own or play with guns? I really have no interest in owning one, firing one or cleaning one, is this wrong I refuse to jump on this bandwagon? icon_confused.gif

With the increase in religious right wing nut job rhetoric and or threatening violence against our community, maybe I should look into owning a gun to protect myself from the Occults and their tendencies towards hatred for anyone that is different from themselves. A bullet may not stop a magic spell, but those who do spells, are flesh and blood too.

I don't know, I recently, last year, told my land lady, who is under 45 years old, that I am gay and her very positive response was, "you're gay?" (surprised look), "you better learn how to protect yourself, take some karate lessons"

She must understand the danger I face as a gay man in this country. My land lady is German, from non religious Germany icon_confused.gif

I play darts, pool and bowl too, these types of targeting games interest me, none of these kill anything. I am a Sagittarius but I never mastered archery, my arms are too long or not strong enough to pull icon_lol.gif

    1) California is not a friendly state for gun owners. You would do better on your own. Your would be anonymous.

    2) Where else in the world would you be or feel safer? In terms of a gay man your probably in the safest place in the world in terms of hate crimes ( los angeles.) Statistics I dont think are helpful outside the US as the hate crimes across the world are way under reported.

3)Honestly an anecdote from your landlady. Which says more about her and her own bias that homosexuals cant defend themselves.
