NYT: According to the experts, no one can say for sure what constitutes a healthy diet, and food that is fine for one person may not be fine for another. No wonder the federal government is again rethinking its Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

Interesting article, thanks for sharing. I like to eat eggs and egg whites to stay healthy. Also high fiber vegetables and such.

Like the "Experts " that perpetuated the health destroying myth of the Low-Fat Diet?

Genes rule! Opinions don't. Our bodies evolved around a diet that is now labeled the Paleo diet. Go natural and be healthy.

it depends on where you are from actually, evolutionary digestive adaptations are different throughout the world

for instance, peoples from the UK and parts of the Middle East can digest and tolerate carbohydrates easier than other people

    2 cents:

Blood type, long term eating habits and variety determine gut flora.
Based on the cocktail of bacteria, diet can be optimized.
'murrca generalizing what is considered healthy...that's fair, but not every body burns/requires the same micro+macros to function.

Pluuuus....how often do americans require "peak performance" from food.
    *sarcasm* humour not hate.
