Nope. El Niño usually brings (yet more) drought here, but we've been having an almost normal winter. So far.

Yes! Yes! Yes! It is quite wet outside! The trees are giggling! El Niño or not, the rain is quite welcome. The best part is that the storms so far this winter have all been California rains, the soft, gentle, soaking rains which replenish water tables and make relatively minimal runoffs, compared to typical rains of the last couple decades which have not been "California rains" but more of the downpour types and coming late in the season. When they get up over the Sierra Nevada, the all important snow pack gets increased.

    San Francisco--
A lot more rain than we've had in several years, but it rains mostly at night, and no big storms.

I am happy that we are finally getting the rain that we need in view of the drought which helps our water table and additionally the Sierras with more snow, but I am just tired of the cold weather and bundling up and layering. There is a reason I moved to California I lived in both Southern and Northern now..and this is getting ridiculous I need some SUN. If feels more like the Mid-West.

Who's complaining? Your the only cunt with a sour attitude. I am loving it. Besides the snow has the slopes primed for snowboarding/skiing!!

Ummmm. People NOT in California are so clueless about the importance to the nation of the rains in California. It doesn't rain here -- YOU won't eat. Whence do you think the food you eat comes? grin!

What you're experiencing is a residual effect from the drought in California, brought on by a changing pattern in the jet stream caused by the melting of the polar ice....not El Niño. Not saying it's global warming, either (too much conflicting evidence to draw a conclusion for now).

It is what it is. More rain in California, more houses wiped out by mudslides where greedy developers built on dangerous ground.

More fires in Australia and Indonesia - but in Indonesia, they were burning down the forest as fast as they could anyway, so except for some additional smoke, might not be noticed.

Is everyone enjoying their climate change? Don't mind the nose bleeds. It's just a normal reaction to methane.
