    nice feature at wellsFargo:
you can get real time text message alerts on your VISA credit card or other accounts. Set this up online. A function "Rapid Alerts" needs to be asserted. You need to register your cell#. If all is good you should see your cell# along with email options for alerts on each account function you haved. Kinda of new so rapid alerts comes and goes, if you see it, sign up for it, likely will work. Dont always see it as an option.

For example you pay a restaurant and before you walk out the door you get a text the amount they charged your card including tip + services.

You make an online purchase and you get a text report.

Pretty sure most banks offer this, just a matter of customizing your alert settings through your online banking and enrolling in mobile banking simultaneously.

I actually get these types of alerts whenever I go to my barbershop and pay. I always walk out the door thinking I got a text but really it's just a reminder of me spending money haha. icon_mad.gif

I think it's cool that sometimes I get those texts before the receipt even prints

Yes, the debits hit your account in milliseconds. And yet it takes up to six days to "process" an electronic deposit. icon_rolleyes.gif

When the deposits are going into a interest earning account the banks are getting the money for free without having to pay you interest for those days. I wouldn't have thought that a few days would make much of a difference but I read that it adds up and they make a lot of money from this practice.

I believe that's called "skimming the float" in swindler-speak.

I'm already using a rapid notice system with Wells Fargo. Another feature I like, which is not unique to WF nor an account reporting item, is free personalized bank cards.

Have had that for years now. I go online and upload a photo. Basic editing tools let me fit the photo to the available card space. Takes about 7 or 8 business days to get the new card, at no charge.

I use a pic of us in Key West, after completing the SMART Ride. Has the advantage of a security photo, but of both of us, since sometimes he uses my card & PIN.
