A little before my time and i never really got into him.

I did see him on Conan once performing and loved it. Could never find the damn recording anywhere until youtube. (napster never had it or limewire or any store that i am aware of) I hunted for this damn song for many many hours back in the day.

I was, even dedicated my thesis partially to him but I cut him loose after the Glass Spider tour ( so embarrassing) . The Alladin insane video is still stunning.

Saw this concert with NIN in '95 at the shoreline in the SF bay area. Very enjoyable....

WAS… lol… well, re-aquaint yourself. Glass Spider was somewhat lame. However when Bowie, Charlie Sexton and Peter Frampton played " I wanna Be Your Dog"… that was worth the price of admission.

oh, and BTW. I have the Aladdin Sane bolt tattooed town my arm… LOL…
    ( so embarrassing….lol)

He had always been avant garde but missed the New wave / Punk boat by not graduating from glam rock to new wave. I would say that the Lightning bolt is a cool tattoo. The early stuff is still stunning; I can't say that about Spielburg movies from the same era. It's interesting that Neil Young ( another God in my pantheon) was involved with Devo. Remember "Rust never Sleeps".

Ok, Are you EFFING kidding me with he missed the New Wave sound? He was New Wave sound in the 70ies, before there was New Wave. Heroes, Low, Lodger… Remember the old Lodger promo poster…' There is Old Wave, there is New Wave…. then there is David Bowie'!! nuff said… LOL..
