The construction causing traffic nightmares at Wilshire and Fairfax has been quite nasty the last year or so.
I have avoided N,S Fairfax for some time now.

I am glad this icon is finally going to be saved, just hope the new museum will refurbish this model, including restoring the sharks original teeth. Apparently they were metal for this model and were replaced with plastic when it was displayed at Universal, so I read.

Cant wait till this new museum is done. I wonder what will happen to the Max Factor building, the current Hollywood Museum on Hollywood Blvd.

The prop remained a popular backdrop for photos at Universal Studios Hollywood until 1990, when it was moved to the yard of Adlen Brothers Auto Wrecking, a firm in Sun Valley, California. With the business slated to close in January 2016, owner Nathan Adlen donated the prop to the Academy Museum.
