"The One" that got away

I was just thinking if it's possible that I've met "The One" already but missed out because I was introduced to him just a bit too early or too late...For example: Met him right AFTER he started a committed relationship with another guy...or right BEFORE they were thinking of breaking up...or right BEFORE I leave on a month business trip out of the country with no way to build a connection...or right BEFORE I came to terms with my sexuality...etc...

Am I alone in this thinking? Have you guys ever felt that way about someone you met in the past?

I have a couple of guys from my past that I let get away, mostly due to careers and geography differences. I regret letting things turn out this way and would definitely take a different course if I had things to do over. You go on however, and if you're lucky, there will be more great guys in your future.

    Yeah it is....

I have only loved one guy but we both stil fight because of other people. Instead of focusing on each other we let other people get in the way, like immature kids. One day we are fine, the next it blows up and its never about each other.

You know he is the one when you:

    1. dream about him and a fam with him
    2. thinking about being in his arms while just laying there
    3. wait for him to come home and be excited to rub his feet and back down
after he long day at work
    4. when you get in fights and dont talk for a few, you suddenly see his name and towns name everywhere. I mean both names are not common and its just odd that you walk into a bar with his name, see a bulit kangaroo on tv with his name, see a soap star on tv that is having relationship issues with his name. Then you see bus stations named after his town, donute shops with that name. You walk two miles and never once look up at the street signs. When you finally do the street name is his town.

Odd things happen when "the one" is met already.

The one is only the one if it's reciprocal. This means things work out, no matter what the hurdle or situation. Clearly, that didn't happen, so he's not the one. There are many 'the one's out there, as the one is, simply put, someone who fits you that you fit, too. A jillion wonderful feelings happen with that 'fit'.

Here's another angle: he's only the one if he thinks you're the one, too.

Yes very true, unless he feels the same, dont set yourself up for something. It could be lust so unless the feelings are reciprocal, he might not be the one
