S/he's right, for a change, on this one. It's foolish not to try; never put all your eggs in one basket - assuming you still have one!

That reminds me of how Republican gay activists were treated in the 1970s and beyond; we were ridiculed by gay activists who were Democrats. They asserted that because Republicans were not gay friendly, it was stupid for any gay persons to be in the Republican party. I insisted that it made perfect sense because the alternative was to put all of one's eggs into one basket and that it was important to maintain some influence in the Republican party.

Clearly you are still in a "dream state"...lol
    amazing.

Perhaps the moderate republicans can be won over, eventually, the right wingers in a generation or two, maybe. I think the important thing is to be reasonable, show how trans individuals are productive, grounded and add to society in so many ways.... that does more than anything.

No I live in reality-do u honestly believe this administration has been good for this country? He doesn't even try and work with the repubs he just signs executive orders-that's not how the forefathers intended for this country to be ran! He's not the king of the U.S.Hopefully he won't do too much more damage before he's outta there.

    The point is lost.
Only after decades did Jenner have the balls to come out....
Only after the trail was blazed by his "gay" friends.
Rich and Bored the old man looks better with tits and Jenner
    knows it.

I more than do... I'm DAMN glad we've had Obama as our president.... but that isn't the question of this thread it's about REPUBLICAN flexibility, I merely answered the question.

Do you honestly believe that the evil empire haters and their agenda of evil, sabotage style obstruction has been any good for this country? The amount of obstruction, especially behind the scenes, is beyond immoral comprehension icon_twisted.gif

And 40 years later, gays still have zero influence in the Republican Party. Look no further than their 2016 field of presidential candidates (i.e., the party leaders)...0 of 16 support GLBT equality (the Constituion be damned, or, better, amended). Three of three Democratic presidental candidates do.

The millions of people who now have health insurance and were not able to get it before would disagree with you.

We'd have more influence if more of us had stayed in the Republican Party.

Being a registered Republican doesn't mean that you have to vote Republican. Actually I finally gave up about three years ago and changed my registration to Democrat. I was disturbed by the way the Log Cabin Republican Club, of which I used to be a member, treated the late Ronald Reagan like a saint; that was more than I could take.

And the millions who had their policies raised thru the roof or cancelled agree with me I know mine was raised twice as high to pay for this B.S. So much for Mr. President's own words "if you like your policy you can keep your policy" tell that to the people who's were cancelled. Liar!
