    Curious?

Why is the biggest country in the world one of the smallest on the map?

it's graduated by population, not land mass

    From the link:

"What if countries were scaled based on their population?"

"Some countries which are very large on conventional maps can barely be seen. Canada, Russia, and Australia are much smaller in TeaDranks’ representation, which was inspired by Paul Breding’s 2005 work. Canada in particular disappears almost entirely."

There is something wrong with the map when Canada looks bigger than Russia. Russia's population is almost 4 times that of Canada.

China is a large country and getting developed fast and has slow population growth rate , that said, China has a huge pollution problem all over country while India is one of the most overpopulated and dirtiest places on the planet with regions of extreme poverty

In conclusion, overpopulation, cheap labor and high industrialization does not pay of

I'm not sure where you're looking, but you seem to me misreading the map. Canada is represented much, much smaller on this map than Russia.

Maybe making it bigger would help?

Um, because there's nothing good on TV?

Traveling in Asia, I was amazed at how much of the culture is based on sex and prostitution. In many places I couldn't take a taxi or check into a hotel without someone offering me a hooker. Finally it struck me that for a majority of the population, sex is their only entertainment. No TV, no movies, no music, no books, no video games, no backgammon - sex is the only thing they have to distract themselves from their miserable lives.

Unfortunately, protection costs money. Hence the skyrocketing birth rates.

I live in India, I am born and raised here and it may be true of some other places you have been to but totally not India. I have never met a hooker here and most people I know (and I know a lot of people) have never met or been with a hooker. Also, there is plenty on television here. I have also lived in Canada, and India certainly has a lot more to offer on television. I mean all housewives are busy with soap operas and most people watch at least one program on television. Also there are more movies produced in India than anywhere else in the world. I suspect, you might be in one of those touristy places where people have stereotypes about foreigners and so attracts a lot of pimps offering hookers.

The reason for population growth is not what you mentioned but basically India was traditionally an agricultural economy and it was believed the more kids one have, the more hands on the farm.

During the population explosion era, superstitions, lack of family planning, better access to medical facilities and decline in death led to explosion of populations. Further, early marriage and improved fertility rates also contributed greatly to increase in population levels. Between 1950 to 1990 India's population quadrupled. Nowadays couples have only one or two children in general but then think about how many couples are in India and so even one or two children are also causing population to rapidly increase.
