I have given up on my hunt for a hot nerd, I wanted to date guys in my field (programing - Computer Science), but 404 hot geek not found. Anyone here into video gaming, anime, and anything that would classify you as a nerd?

The hot nerds are all straight. Or at least they got snapped up by girls before they realized what was happening.

Seriously, though, if all the hot nerds haven't already PMed you then you could try a profile search and/or forum search (using Google if the site search flakes on you) for your favorite nerd buzzwords. Local lore seems to suggest the forums are the least active part of RJ, so you might get lucky.

There are plenty of hot nerds around.

Traditionally 'nerdy' things have become cool these days so people are more open about being a nerd.

That's excellent advice, I have struggled a lot to find a cute gay guy who is a nerd, it seems like it's a rarity these days

Check reddit. Any gay guy who is on reddit is most likely a nerd in some way, but there're actually attractive gays on reddit. I don't know if there's a specific 'singles' subreddit, but you might be able to find someone on /r/GaysGoneMild or /r/GayBro. or even /r/gaymers

    Yeah that's a good suggestion!

I would like to point out that I'm a nerd, and proud of it - I cannot say whether or not I'm hot though, it is not for me to say!

I have to agree, they aren't as rare as you think. I've read lots of profiles and taken notice of lots of attractive nerds. It's just a matter of actively looking for them. I agree with the reddit comment for sure. icon_smile.gif

I handed in my NERD card a few years ago.
I occasionally play board games but my role playing group disbanded a couple of years ago. I still miss it... I lovingly stare at my Shadowrun books and re-read them sometimes.

I recently discovered Marvel Digital Comics which is like Netflix for comics, so have been catching up on 10 years of the Xmen.

And I bought my first star fleet uniform last year.

Oh maybe I still am a bit of a nerd.

I can attest, the S.T.E.M fields are still too homophobic, I have fought 'equality' in work since the start of my career 25 years ago.

My problem is that I came out just after I graduated my S.T.E.M field. Through my work, I have met or ran across many hot nerds but as phil has stated, they are straight by the time they come out of S.T.E.M nerd school

I have already advised young open gays thinking of a career in S.T.E.M either to avoid or be prepared for homophobia as you build your career over the years. I had no one to tell me or coach me otherwise when making this crucial decision. Until 'leaders' in the S.T.E.M fields publically denounce homophobia (much like Boy Scouts did) and start recruitment campaigns, I am afraid hot nerds will remain a heterosexual thing icon_redface.gif

You see, the nerd focus is so technical, there isn't room for anything gay play. Gay focus isn't technical, its entertainment icon_neutral.gif

There aren't actually any "hot" nerds. When we need to be photographed, we just hire some frat boys and dress them up in lab coats and glasses. Then they go back to the gym and we go back to work.

LOL @ this being posted in "Science & Technology"

FYI as far as I know there are PLENTY of hot nerds/geeks scattered around the globe.

They just don't come out of their nerd caves too often cos well they are not really social, which doesn't mean that they re bad in bed.

As a matter of fact studies show that geeks/nerds are better at good sexing than regular unintelligent individuals. and (from personal experience) I can confirm that is true.

for more information see okcupid.com, I'm pretty sure 50% of them can be found on there.

I used to date a real life nerd.

he was into miyazaki, video games, computers, the internet, technology, fast food, superhero movies, star trek, and porn.

As if all of that wasn't enough he was a programmer, web developer, wore glasses and was extremely shy.

but he loved cock SO much. every time we met he would show me this hidden side of his personality based on an insatiable thirst for sex. we would fuck 4 times a night and still that wasn't enough for him. he just always wanted penis up his ass basically.

There's plenty of them, they're just overlooked since the hot item on the gay market are the muscular jock types and bears. And let's face it, most of them probably get discouraged from looking anyways since they probably get plenty of rejections anyways. I used to be in that limbo... but luckily I have a boyfriend who's just as nerdy as me.

Guys tend to be attracted to their own type. Seeing couples of mixed scenes doesn't seem to happen often.

But I think one guy mentioned it already, if you wanna find them, try sci-fi/anime conventions, or try finding some on Steam or MOBAs that most of us play.

I find myself in the same dilemma. I don't know where all the nerds are. Maybe I need to go to a gaming convention. Oh, and I remember programming. I took it as an elective in college, but didn't like it icon_sad.gif that class was a nightmare
