Trump Too Frightened to Join Next Republican Debate: Female journalist's questions apparently "too tough"

I have to say this is the most cowardly thing I've witnessed from a presidential candidate in decades.
Donald Trump tells us how tough he will be with ISIS and Putin, but he's scared of a female journalist's "tough questions" ?

His prissy feud with Fox News' Megyn Kelly began at the last Fox News debate, when she had the audacity to ask him fact-based questions about his actions in the past. He blew up after the debate and began a weeks-long hissy fit about how mean she was to him.
He told FOX he was mad at her and would never be in a debate with her again, assuming they would back down and remove her. They stood up to Trump (a rare "Bravo!" to Fox News) so now he has wimped out on Thursday's debate -- he will not go because Megyn Kelly will be there.

Does this sound like a grown man who is ready to be Commander-in-Chief, or does this sound like middle-school girls in a bitchy cat-fight?

    What a pathetic loser.

Who do you favor KissTheSky or are you going to continue your cowardly tactic of making a statement and not responding to any responses. Do tell.....

I have never been a fan of Trump going back to the 80's when Merv Griffin, closeted gay talk show host and mega rich from developing King's World Entertainment which created Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune among others, beat him in a huge casino deal. I thought his fame would have died out in the 90's or early 2000's.

I also did not think he would run because he would have to file documents on his net worth, which he has always exaggerated.

But I have to say, I love seeing him run. He is making a fundamental change in US politics. Parties have been dying and he is maybe the death toll for the grip of the two political parties. Instead of the political insiders telling us, the voting public, who we have to elect, this guy is blasting a hole in the system. I like that. Not the guy, but how he is changing the status quo.

I don't think he is a coward or wimp. He is sitting at 41% in the polls. He is smart. He has won, according to the polls, 6 of 6 events. His poll numbers are huge. He does not need the debates, which in reality are not debates at all. Lincoln vs Douglass was a debate. These are just talking points that we have all heard a million times.

He is running the table on old school politics. I like that.

southbeach1500 saidActually the reason Trump isn't appearing is because Fox News posted some snarky comments about him on social media.

Trump continues to break the mold when it comes to running a campaign. He doesn't need to appear at this "debate."

These things are hardly debates, they are "try and get the candidates to mess up their answer to a question posed by the moderators" if you are a Republican, and if you are Democrat, answering softball questions like "who is your favorite President."

Would be great if this is the beginning of the end for this ridiculous "debate" format.

BTW... Here is "KissTheSky" modeling the latest fashion:

Now Trump's story is that someone said something mean about him on social media? icon_rolleyes.gif
He needs to grow a spine or get out of the race.

Again, who do you support? You have a record here of only disparaging, never defending who you support or even what you believe in.

I would wager it's Hillary. He's got the right temperament, intelligence level and morals to be a Hillary supporter.

Could be. If you excuse dishonesty in others, you also excuse it in yourself. Or maybe he supports Bernie, being too stupid to know the country can't afford all the free shit Bernie promises. But maybe KissTheSky really wants all that free shit.

Trump is baffoon. Baffoons are getting elected in this country.

Whether you like the establishment party system or not I can not take the xeonphobia, outright racism, and pandering of the religious right.

Shades of Putin. Watch out because I believe anti-gun anti-soda Bloomberg enters and out billionaires Trump but I also believe it will be at the expense of HRC and don't be surprised if Trump doesn't run independently also. He still has a few weeks to decide if he wants to fight the republicans or be one.

You think Hillary is any better, if you do than you are very naive. Hillary has pandered to the right wing lunatics in the recent past and she will do it again to gain votes. She will say anything you like to hear but in the end she will toss all her loyal supporters especially the ass kissing HRC under an approaching bus. Just say no to the hapless Hillary ho and vote for either Bernie Sanders or Martin O'Malley instead.

Well, self-proclaimed Socialist Bernie Sanders apparently doesn't want to be a Democrat, as well, except to use the Democrats as a path to the White House. As Trump is using the Republicans, and especially the Teabaggers. Sanders is opposing Senate confirmation of President Obama's nominee to head the FDA, Dr. Robert Califf, with a Senatorial "hold".

These kind of holds have been used by Senators of the President's own Party in the past (although rarely among the monolithic, obedient Republicans). But I don't remember those Senators running for the Democratic nomination to be President themselves.

This is a dangerous course for Sanders to take, to oppose the President and demonstrate disloyalty to Democrats. Because he really isn't even a Democrat himself, only caucuses with Senate Democrats as an Independent/Socialist. This kind of action could lose him what little support he might have had with the Democrat Party establishment.

Alternately, in the same way Trump has gained support, Sanders' behaviour in holding true to his beliefs could *gain* him support.

Oh, and as for the USA not being able to afford what he promises, I seem to recall he did the numbers to show how some of it even generates it's own return to help pay for it (for example child care and medical care improve business performance by reducing absenteeism )*AND* all things considered, a *minute* cut to US military spending (which we all know is rife with cost overruns) would certainly help fund them. Even a *1 percent* cut is nearly 6 *billion* dollars, after all.

    Americans are being played.

In 10 years, Rupert Murdoch's diary will be published -- no, wait. make that Jerry Hall's diary will be accidentally discovered -- and we will learn that Murdoch (at the request of the leaders of the Republican party) orchestrated this whole charade. Trump will be paid to go away. He is all about the cash, so this financial arrangement will benefit him nicely.

In February 2016, The Orange Clown will drop out of the race saying that he has a "yuuuuge" deal that requires all of his attention. He'd really love to stay in the race -- honestly, I would. if i stayed in it, I know I'd win -- but his business, uh, family comes first and he needs to direct his attention to them and not the campaign.

Trump spawned out of the business community. In his early years he might have been interesting but he has not aged well.

Given the display of his current mental health; you would think he's a joke for any real business situation. Something dosnt jive.

-Any domestic bank likely not go near his paper.
-His financial advisers free lance for the Drudge Report.
-His tax attorneys all wear ankle bracelets.

Megyn Kelly has used her show on Faux News to promote hatred of minorities, so I can't fathom why she'd be too surprised when her viewers are sexist. Sexism, homophobia, religious intolerance, racism---they all are promoted on Faux News.

Same with Cruz. Did he really expect to run as a republican and get past his own birther movement?

    Total idiocy.

I'm not convinced that the Donald is afraid of anything or anyone--Fox, Megan, Cruz, Bush, the Republican establishment, Graham, etc./et al. He's very strategic and likes to push the envelope. I think he's trying to test the outer limits of his public support.

How many interviews has Hillary given to Fox since she announced her candidacy?

How many debates did the DNC schedule on Fox?

Did the Sultan of Brunei (who passed a law to stone gays to death) give $50K in jewelry, $1 million dollars in cash or throw a party in Megyn Kelly's honor. Here's that recipient:

The entire republican clown car is stupid and unelectable. This is all just a bad reality show that will not win any emmys. These old white men and their token idiot black fool have no chance of winning a national election. Let them blabber, but come november, not a single one of these morons will be celebrating.
