As Obama Tilts in Favor of Hillary, Sanders Asks to Meet

NYT: The president has said he remains neutral in the Democratic primary contest, even as he has repeatedly expressed great admiration for Mrs. Clinton, whom he defeated in 2008 and then selected as his top diplomat.

In an interview with Politico over the weekend, Mr. Obama again heaped praise on Mrs. Clinton, calling her “more experienced than any non-vice-president has ever been who aspires to this office.”

He praised Mr. Sanders in the interview, too, saying that the Vermont senator was “just letting loose” because he entered the race with few expectations about how he would fare against Mrs. Clinton.

But some people interpreted the Politico interview as an attempt by Mr. Obama to tilt the scales in favor of Mrs. Clinton, in part because of the language he used to describe her. He called her a “good, smart, tough person who cares deeply about this country” and said that Mr. Sanders’s success was in part a result of the fact that so few people knew about him before this race.

“You’re always looking at the bright, shiny object that people don’t, haven’t seen before. That’s a disadvantage to her,” Mr. Obama said.

Professional life is full of personal animosity. Monty and Patton, to take a high-profile example, hated one another almost as much as they hated Hitler and yet they did cooperate professionally and were both on the winning side.

Although Sanders does have some good ideas; I doubt that he has the expertise to guide these ideas thru Congress with success.

Which is why this soured-by-RonnieR former Republican will vote with the majority of "my fellow Americans" to elect Ms. Clinton our next #POTUS.

An apt, logical and "Real World Correct" reply.

    BUT

we both know that cold, hard facts and logic make NO impression on the bent, emotional, twisted-by-#FoxFeauxNews minds of the GOP/TEA shills on this site.

Well, I would expect Obama will have a question for old Bernie Boy if they meet, as Sanders is reported to now be requesting, after Obama appeared to throw support behind Hillary: why did you put a Senatorial "hold" on my nominee for head of the FDA the other day?

more likely it was due to arm twisting and psychological extortion, or don't you know how these things work?

And then she decides to use a personal and highly hack-able email server to handle official business. Still an embarrassment to Obama.

You are living in a fantasyland because the majority of Americans are not voting for the highly unqualified, power hungry Hillary Clinton. Bernie Sanders is far more qualified for President than the hapless Hillary ho.

Your blind support of the highly unquilified, ethically challenged Hillary Clinton is the biggest laugh. I would much rather have a self declared socialist in the White House than the hapless Hillary ho. My criticism of Hillary is not unfounded, it is based on true facts. You ultra leftists are scared shitless of the truth.

And what are the "true facts" that justify you always calling Hillary Clinton a "ho" in every post you make about her? Please explain your use of the word ho. A word that has sexual overtones of a very libelous nature. Of all the negative words you could use, why select "ho"?

Sounds like you have an issue with females.

how in the world could you ever know Hillary's server wasn't hacked? as if they would ever admit it lol

The contractor, SECNAP Network Security, identified the attacks, but according to internal emails cited and briefly quoted in the Johnson letter, Clinton's sever may have lacked a threat-detection program for three months, Johnson says.

The Associated Press first reported the news.

It happened. The server was wide open to hacks.

    You say!

let's go to the source of the article: reuters AP

"...tried to attack Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's private email server after she left the U.S. State Department in February 2013,"

It was not immediately clear whether the attempted intrusions into Clinton's server were serious espionage threats or the sort of nuisance attacks that hit computer servers the world over," the AP said

"Committee Chairman Ron Johnson, a Wisconsin Republican, asked the Florida-based cyber security company for documents..."

Brian Fallon rejected Johnson's inquiry, calling the committee's probe a "taxpayer-funded sham of an investigation with the sole purpose of attacking Hillary Clinton politically,"

Attempted hacking is a daily occurrence for everyone. I have yet to see any proof that the hacking was successful.

You will not get proof. It would have just been better to be secure as to not be black-mailed when president.

So it's all conjecture and Republican posturing. And the committee is just a shame.....as everyone knows. A politically motivated, publicly FUNDED witch hunt.

Of course Repukes will believe what they will even in the absence of evidence.
