    seems the gayest occupations are:
college professor, psychologist, massage therapist, mortician (Fun Home), lawyer, probation officer and web developer(the engineer geek).

Oh; and Lesbians are especially functional in sociology?

Me and my guy are in none of those professions. In fact I don't know any gay men or lesbians who are.

I have been to gay masseurs. Never known any gay folks in the other listed professions. The only psychologists I've dealt with tried to make me NOT gay, though I actually think one of them might have been a closet case..:-P

The Daily Caller saidThe trio of professors behind the paper predicted that gay and lesbian workers value working by themselves because “they tend to see coworkers and supervisors as the most common source of potential mistreatment and discrimination in the workplace.”

I find that a bizarre theory to base their research on. The idea that people are planning that far ahead when they go to college and study law, programming, psychology, or whatever? I think people choose a career based on what they intuitively are good at.

I would assume they meant it more on a subconscious level and are just being facile with their language.

How about "Gay Porn Star"? Or, "Gay Male Sex Worker"?

I would think those are very gay professions (although there are some "gay for pay" performers/workers).
