All of those hot guys posting their selfies on instagram are narcissists.

Some of them post at least one new picture a day, Max Emerson being the prototypical example. https://www.instagram.com/maxisms/

Imagine what it'd be like to be out and about with him; he'd have to stop every 15 minutes or so so that you could snap yet another picture of him.

Yeah it must suck when your self worth is determined by likes, comments and followers. I think a lot of these people also feel lonely. They often feel the need to post half naked photos for people to pay attention to them.

Does not matter if they are narcissist or not. Actually, many intellectuals and artists are also very narcissist. But who cares, his job is to be an eye candy in some of our life and that's all.

Being a narcissist because you're an accomplished artist, athlete,or scientist is a lot different than because you look pretty.

What's the difference? They all could be equally horrible to be in a relationship with.

True enough, but I'd be more tolerant of it.

I liked Erik's comment - "Who?" I would never have heard of him, so I googled him. Turns out he is a non-star actor, who at 30, hasn't had much of a career to date. So, in his position, having a great body, and being known for it is important. Might get him acting roles where the great body is more important than acting prowess. So he's not posting pics out of narcissism, but to help him stay in the public eye, especially of casting directors in LaLaLand. And these days, getting the role of the hunk in a silly big budget Hollywood film is worth a lot of money, even if the player couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. So, putting salivating pics out there makes good sense for him and guys in the same situation. Some times a pretty face (or body) is more than pretty - it is worth $$$.

They could be, but if one were stranded with him, shipwrecked on some island, it would be a lot of fun and worth it trying to turn him gay - even if he doesn't have a gay bone in his body yet.

Exactly my point. The point of him being a narcissist does not matter. For many of us, who are not straight, not in the same industry, he is just an eye candy. Nothing matters more. Our paths will likely never intersect, I will enjoy him what he is. Things like what's personality might be based on his posts are not worth stressing over.

I don't get that. You're born with a symmetrical face or an agile mind or a good sense for expression. What's the difference?

Nobody really does anything themselves, you need to have the luck of whatever happened to you to become who you became. We all like to walk around thinking we're in charge, it feels good to feel like you are in control....but in reality anything could quite literally happen or have happened to change everything or anything about your life regardless of quality you see yourself possessing.
